I am also trying to track down the same issue with Outlook 2016 
re-syncing the entire mailbox.  In at least one case, shortly before the 
re-sync, SOGo replied with a 501 because it could not reach the IMAP 
server.  In another case, there did not seem to be any IMAP issues, but 
there was a SOGo error that resulted in a 503 response to the client.  I 
am attaching the section of the SOGo logs that resulted in the 503 
error.  Additionally, in this case there were two concurrent requests 
from the same Outlook client, a Ping and a Sync.  The Sync failed.  I am 
not sure if concurrent requests are allowed, so I thought I would 
mention it.  I have packet dumps as well if needed.

[SOGo] ActiveSync re-syncing entire mailbox

Outlook ActiveSync is re-syncing the user's emails, but not just new emails,
the entire mailbox of the user.

This is happening when the mailbox server is down or unavailable for any reason 
and SOGo ActiveSync is up.

May someome tell me if this is a bug or a natural behavior of SOGo?

I would like to avoid this. May someone help me?

[SOGo] SOGo V2, sieve and German umlauts - suuggestions

Hi,

an user has some mail folders with German Umlauts in the name and adding sieve 
filters will not work.

I found some bug reports and the suggestion to change „SOGoSieveFolderEncoding 
= UTF-8“.

Can I change that on my livesystem which is on the latest SOGo V2 without 
breaking something? Dose the user has to recreate the filter?

On the dovecot side the folder is „Verb &- Institutionen“ so may be the 
„&“ in the middle is a problem too?
