[SOGo] adding user to ZEG 2.0.0rc4 - how?

2012-07-03 Thread Denis Medvedev
Dear sirs!
What is the exact sequence for adding user to rc4?
Should I need to manually create a mailbox for the user by cyradm?
Should I install cyradm for that? Or will that mailbox be created
automatically? Or by some other tool?
Thanks

[SOGo] dovecot centos examples?

2012-03-06 Thread Denis Medvedev
Dear SOGo users!
Does anybody use SOGo with dovecot on CentOS (or other machines)?
Could you please show  me any hints/examples on dovecot configuration,
especially for making shared INBOX-es?
Do you have any Outlook clients via OpenChange for that configuration?
Thank you,

[SOGo] funambol and table names

2012-01-27 Thread Denis Medvedev
Dear users,
I want to share one thing about configuration of sogo for funambol:
the names of tables in SOGo config file should be EXACTLY the same as those
that in Installation guide.
sogo_alarms_folder , etc.
I tried to make my own names for those tables and this results in strange
errors while trying to use funambol-sync, and probably even outlook-sync.
Also, is it possible to fill the default timezone for user? Funambol needs that.

Re[2]: [SOGo] SOGo Outlook connector

2012-01-26 Thread Denis Medvedev
No.
sogo outlook connector is a part, which connects openchange to sogo, gives data
to openchange for serving to Outlook clients.
No connector in outlook clients needed.
If you want to avoid samba4 for now, you can use Funambol with sogo and install
Funambol Connector for Outlook.

hi all,

i'm a bit lost -- i've read this thread but remain unclear about sogo
connectivity with outlook:

- sogo, openchange, samba4
sogo is the web interface for this package -- outlook connects using built-in
exchange connector -- no 3rd party software needed on the outlook client side.
this solution is quite arguably an exchange server replacement.

- sogo outlook connector
a 3rd party sogo connector for outlook clients. allows syncing of outlook to
sogo (much in the same way as thunderbird operates with sogo now). will be
operational with sogo 2.0

is this correct, or have i been smoking too much?

cheers

Re: [SOGo] Compiling from source: Where is the sogo service

It is a bash script file /etc/init.d/sogo
It is distribution depended. You should modify it or recreate it yourself for
your distro.
Or just start sogod from command line.

Re: [SOGo] Branches, v2.0 and Native Outlook Compatibility

2011-10-01 Thread Denis Medvedev
Thank you very much!
Good job!
Will there be rpms for centos/redhat next week? Or only for ubuntu?

01 октября 2011, 03:30 от Ludovic Marcotte lmarco...@inverse.ca:
 Hi,

Some of you might see, starting from tomorrow's nightly builds, that
SOGo will have a version number of 2.0.0. Yeah, that's right, SOGo v2.0
 is coming.

But, prior v2.0 is released, SOGo v1.3.9 will be, of course - as well as
other v1.3, most likely. We created the ca.inverse.sogo.1_3_9 branch
 (http://mtn.inverse.ca/branch/changes/ca.inverse.sogo.1_3_9) just for
 this purpose.

Nightly builds will now be tagged as v2.0.0. So, what it is all about?
 Important changes :-)

SOGo v2.0.0beta1, which is set to be released early next week will
feature native Microsoft Outlook compatibility. It'll be the first
version, after twelve technological previews, to officially include
native support for Outlook. That means that anyone will be able to
connect Outlook to SOGo, just like if it was an Exchange server -
without any plugins, nothing. The first beta should be solid - enough to
start putting normal users on it.

As soon as beta1 is released, we'll then add the Python bindings, which
are ready. That means that anyone will be able to extend SOGo's
functionality using the Python programming language.

Of course, those changes are quite intrusive. The core of SOGo, just
like it is right now, should stay very solid and stable. Testing of all
our changes will of course be appreciated using the nightly builds, or
the ZEG we'll keep up-to-date with SOGo v2.0 beta releases.

I tell you, v2.0 is gonna be outstanding.

 Regards,

[SOGo] Sogo openchange with MORE THAN 1 user - how?

2011-07-12 Thread Denis Medvedev
Dear sirs,
in the document and appliance there is one and only one user for the Outlook -
openchange.
I need to test with more users.
Document that describes sogo + openchange integration reads:

Provision OpenChange Server for SOGo backend

We do not yet provide an easy way to provision openchange.ldb for the SOGo
backend but it is a matter of days. In the meanwhile you'll need to do the
following hack on
openchange.ldb database. Edit
openchange.ldb and replace mapistore_uri attribute's value for the following
records:

Note: This hack will only work for the first user. Folder identifiers will
change for others.
# /usr/local/samba/bin/ldbedit -H /usr/local/samba/private/openchange.ldb

*
Inbox: 0x00160001, sogo://openchange:openchange@mail/folderINBOX
*
Tasks: 0x001d0001: sogo://openchange:openchange@tasks/personal
*
Calendar: 0x00190001: sogo://openchange:openchange@calendar/personal
*
Contacts: 0x001a0001: sogo://openchange:openchange@contacts/personal

So they use some magic values for folder identifiers. Is it true for now you
should do that way? Where can I obtain those magic values for the second and
more users for my tests?
