Can anyone tell me the default UN & PW for the ZEG 5.0 web interface?

I recently downloaded ZEG 5.0 to try out SOGo for something, but I
cannot figure out how to log in to the web interface. The login for
the terminal is sogo and sogo, but that doesn't work for the web
interface.

On the old ZEG 3.2.x, the web interface login was sogo1 and sogo, but
that doesn't work here.

The documentation has one reference to jdoe and qwerty
(https://sogo.nu/files/docs/SOGoInstallationGuide.html#_sogo_web_interface),
but that didn't work either.

Please help.

Officially manual configuration is not supported, but if autodiscover

email address with a bogus domain to make sure it fails.

Autodiscover is not supported in SOGo, meaning it does not come with

It's a single C++ file. Simply compile with g++ and link with libical.

freebusy files
const string DOMAIN = ".com" ; // domain for ORGANIZER

[SOGo] Multiple addresses when connecting to AD Server

2017-02-15 Thread Gerald Brandt

Hi,

I have Nethserver connecting to an AD/Samba 4 server (Univention
Corporate Server). When users get pulled across using Carddav/SOGo, each
user has three addressed associated with them, and each address is the same.

I didn't see it as an issue until I used Cardbook (Thunderbird carddav
plugin) to add a user to an email. Suddenly, the user was entered in the
to: field three times.

   SOGoUserSources =(
 {
id = AD_Users;
type = ldap;
CNFieldName = cn;
IDFieldName = sAMAccountName;
UIDFieldName = sAMAccountName;
IMAPLoginFieldName = mail;
canAuthenticate = YES;
bindDN = "example\\administrator";
bindPassword = "gobbelygook";
baseDN = "dc=example,dc=com";
bindFields = (
sAMAccountName,
userPrincipalName
);
hostname = ldap://dc1.example.com;
filter = "(objectClass='user') AND (sAMAccountType=805306368)
AND (mail='*')";

MailFieldNames = ("userPrincipalName", "mail");
scope = SUB;
displayName = "Example Users";
isAddressBook = YES;
 },
 {
id = AD_Groups;
type = ldap;
CNFieldName = name;
IDFieldName = sAMAccountName;
UIDFieldName = sAMAccountName;
canAuthenticate = YES;
bindDN = "example\\administrator";
bindPassword = "gobbelygook";
baseDN = "dc=example,dc=com";
hostname = ldap://dc1.example.com;
filter = "(objectClass='group') AND (sAMAccountType=268435456)
AND (mail='*')";

MailFieldNames = ("userPrincipalName","mail");
scope = SUB;
displayName = "Example Groups";
isAddressBook = YES;
 }

Is there something wrong in my SOGo config?

Thanks,

Gerald

In my opinion, you can just leave the AD part out.
A resource is identified using an email address, but it doesn’t really need an

Then, in SOGo, you can just add your resource as attendee to the event and it
will accept or decline.

The issue is that my users are using a client (thunderbird or outlook),
and it will send an email for the invite.

That's great. Now I need some details.

Machine a: dc1 - Active directory, postfix, and dovecot
Machine b: sogo

SOGo gets it user list from machine A, and connects to A's postfix and dovecot

Since the meeting room needs an email address, do I create it as a regular user

AD: create user boardr...@example.com and forward all email to

MySQL: create user boardroom-...@example.com

Does that sound right?

Hi,

I've successfully attached SOGo to my domain. Users can log in (after I

However, calendars only kinda work. The web calendar doesn't display any

1. add event from web
1. does not show up in web calendar
2. does show up in thunderbird
2. add event from thunderbird

The interesting thing I see in the web interface is, when I select

of the hostname/SOGo.

Any ideas?

In creating a distribution list you are supposed to assign an email
address to it either explicitly or the system auto-assigns one. From
that point any email sent to that email address is forwarded to all
members of the distribution list. Try sending an email and see if it

Gerald, all,

After some search engine, I believe there is no documentation online
for these openchange command line tools!

Here is the list of them direct from the source:
https://github.com/openchange/openchange/tree/master/setup

openchange_group
openchange_migrate

openchange_provision

To find the options I dug into the python source.

What I discovered is, you Invoke each command without options and it
will print the help/usage.

I would agree, it sounds like a Postfix issue. However, if ZEG is doing

Try something like this:

samba tool user add jdoe --use-username-as-cn —given-name=John

User created this way (CN identical to username) should not give you

[SOGo] Outlook 2003 connection oddities

2015-10-09 Thread Gerald Brandt

Hi,

Outlook 2003 seems to have some issues with SOGo/Samba. Things seem to
work for awhile, then things stop staying in sync with what I do with an
IMAP connection.

For example, new mail comes in. I can read it, and it gets marked as
read in Outlook. If I have a number of unread messages, and I 'mark all
as read' in thunderbird, the emails remain marked as unread in Outlook
2003. Also, 9 times out of 10, when I exit Outlook 2003, samba panics.

I don't seem to have the same issues with Outlook 2010. I haven't
tested 2007 or 2013 yet.

Does anyone have a similar experience?

"Trash" is the default folder for Thunderbird and "Deleted Items" the default
folder for Outlook. At least if you are running Outlook in english.

It is partly a client thing.

As I don’t know no sane possibility to change the trash folder name for
Outlook, I’ll configure all clients and servers to use the name Outlook uses.
For most clients you can use profiles to reduce roll out headaches.

To that I make sure, that the IMAP server tells the client the name of the
trash folder. Likewise for SOGo (SOGoTrashFolderName in /etc/sogo/sogo.conf).

Re: [SOGo] Adding users via Windows Admin Tools doesn't work

2015-08-11 Thread Gerald Brandt

Hi Rowland,

I changed dovecots ldap file to the following:

# cat /etc/dovecot/dovecot-ldap.conf.ext

hosts = 127.0.0.1:389
dn = cn=administrator,cn=Users,dc=erlphase,dc=com
dnpass =
base = cn=Users,dc=erlphase,dc=com
auth_bind = yes
pass_filter = (samaccountname=%n)
user_filter = (samaccountname=%n)
user_attrs = cn=home=/var/spool/dovecot/%$

And I can now log in via IMAP and Web nicely. However, sending email
locally has issues. If I send to g...@erlphase.com, I see the following
in the logs:

[SOGo] Adding users via Windows Admin Tools doesn't work

Hi,

I added two users to my SAMBA/SOGo/Openchange server via the Windows
tools from Windows 7. I then went to the Linux server and ran
opechnage_newuser -- create user.

When the user connects via Outlook (2003), they can send and receive
emails, calendar, etc.

When the user connects via IMAP, they can't login. Dovecot can't find
the user in LDAP.

When the user connects voa the SOGo web interface, login takes awhile,
and the user is presented with no email folders.

I added a user with samba-tool user add and the openchange_newuser
--create, and all three (Outlook, IMAP, and web) work perfectly.

Should I file a bug report with Openchnage on this? With SOGo?

Hi, can you post you dovecot ldap conf file (suitably sanitized of

Interesting. Could you provide a sample dump of the entry for the user

Also did you create the profile in the first place and did you hit any

Hi,

I just created two users with the Windows 7 AD Tools, and then went to

Is there a way to stop or change that?

[SOGo] Scripted Ubuntu 14.04 Install

2015-07-14 Thread Gerald Brandt
I finally have a working install of Samba4, SOGo, and OpenChange. It’s
still in the testing stages, but I can access mail and calendar from
Outlook, Caldav/IMAP, and the web page. All data stays in sync, and it
all looks stable.

I installed the darn thing so many times, I decided to script it. The
following is the script I use to install a complete Samba Active
Directory domain, SOGo, and Openchange server. This script comes with
no warranty. It’s license is GPLv2. If you improve the script in any
way, let me know.

The script prompts for data before it does anything. However, it still
asks for an Administrator password just after it installs Samba4. The
prompt will appear at the bottom of the screen.

There’s still work to be done… clean up, maybe moving to bind9 instead
of Samba4 DNS. Let me know what you’d like to see, and I’ll try to do it.

The script is at http://majentis.com/?p=344

[SOGo] Wits end with Ubuntu install

2015-07-03 Thread Gerald Brandt

Hi,

I'm trying to get SOGo and Openchange working on Ubuntu 14.04, and
though I had it kinda working once, I can't get it working again (fresh
install).

The SOGo web pages works great.
Thunderbird won't connect IMAP (no plugins)
Outlook send email, but it doesn't end up in outs INBOX (it ends up in
the web pages)

- the sent mail goes into Outlooks sSent, but not the web pages.
When I sync Outlook, I get an 0x8004010f error.

I can't seem to find anything in the logs. Maybe I'm looking in the
wrong place.

My config files have essentially duplicated a ZEG install, with my domain.

I need help.  Please.

Description field blank, it doesn't sync with Outlook (2003). As soon
as I put something in the description, it syncs.

I'm using 2.3.0 under Ubuntu 14.04 from the inverse repos.

Has anyone else seen this?

Gerald

And now this problem is gone. Interesting. I'll do a re-install and
see what happens.

[SOGo] Stand-alone Openchnage

2015-06-15 Thread Gerald Brandt

Hi,

Is it possible, using Outlook Anywhere and RPC over HTTP, to have
computers on one domain (i.e. xyzzy.local) connect using outlook to
SOGo/OpenChange on another domain (i.e. xyzzy.com).

I initially wanted to join the SOGo/OpenChange/Samba server to the
current domain, but it seems the WIndows 2003 SP2 (NOT R2) server isn't
supported by Samba, unless I'm mistaken.

So the initial plan is to

1. Move email to new domain/server
2. Slowly move users to new domain
3. Get rid of Windows 2003 SBS

[SOGo] Starting Samba/OpenChange

Hi,

According to I should see the following when I start Samba:

MAPIPROXY server 'exchange_ds_rfr' registered
MAPIPROXY server 'exchange_nsp' registered
MAPIPROXY server 'exchange_emsmdb' registered
MAPIPROXY server mode enabled
MAPIPROXY proxy mode disabled

But, I only see:

MAPIPROXY server mode enabled
mapiproxy/libmapiproxy/dcesrv_mapiproxy_server.c:187(mapiproxy_server_load):
MAPIPROXY proxy mode disabled
mapiproxy/servers/default/nspi/dcesrv_exchange_nsp.c:1606(dcesrv_exchange_nsp_init):
dcesrv_exchange_nsp_init

Has something changed in the startup, or did I do something wrong?

Re: [SOGo] Outlook sync issue

Hi,

What are the chances its not syncing email and tasks due to a self
signed certificate?

I went into Internet Explorer and tried to add the certificate there,
but it doesn't seem to stick. That is, next time I start IE, it says
bad cert again.

If it is the issue, anyone know where I can get a free cert just for
testing? I'll spend money on the real cert when I know everything works.

[SOGo] Outlook email - no folders

Hi,

following error:

Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Unable to open the Outlook Wndow. The

I added the user via the RSAT tools from Microsoft.

Thinking I munged something up, I tried to cleanup the openchange user
and re-initialize it:

Starting IMAP cleanup

Logged in as 'gbr'

Starting MAPIstore cleanup

Due to the 'not found' message I tried to create the openchange user:

I'll be starting from scratch, and using the Linux tools to add the

Interesting. Could you provide a sample dump of the entry for the user
in the AD? I would be curious to see the attributes set by RSAT tools by
default.

My guess is that it may have partially added some attributes (which we
check against) but not all of them. Have you tried to run
openchange_newuser --enable?

Also did you create the profile in the first place and did you hit any
specific error?

Thanks,

Hi,

No errors when adding the user. I just tested with using the Linux

[SOGo] Dovecot authentication with domain

Any ideas?

We should finally be in a position to merge contributions to our
