Re: [SOGo] Email not being sent

2023-09-28 Thread Jonathan Aquilina
Morning,

A question what is the outbound smtp port you are trying to use, 25 or 587.
Providers might tend to block 25 as that is know to have spam sent out on it
hence why 587 is used instead.

if ther eis one as I have a keyboard where just doing shift and the number for

This is going to be a downer of a resolution, trees from the forest, but
we dropped the tls for localhost.

Spoke to the admin who set it up originally and they don't remember
adding that/guess it came from a security update, and they didn't want a
host name specified in the config.

https:// on staff is happy.

Problem is, that in the certificate staff.prioritycolo.com is set as cn.
Therefore accessing with a different hostname will fail.
You need to either get mangae-sieve working with staff.prioritycolo.com,
or add your different hostname as alternateName in your certificate.

Re: [SOGo] Certificate validation failed

2020-08-05 Thread Jonathan Davis

Hi Christian,

I'll have to go back and look then, as I was told our recently purchased
cert was a wildcard, and https:// on staff verifies this:

*.prioritycolo.com

Issued by: COMODO RSA Domain Validation Secure Server CA

I take it updating the cert for apache doesn't mean that SOGO and sieve
are happy? My only guess at the moment is that this cert wasn't updated?
But that is also confusing as I was told this was working as it was
(e.g. I didn't make any changes to the config), but can't verify.

It was all setup and configured by another person, but AFIAK, it was

We're using SOGo with Sieve & Dovecot

    SOGoSieveServer = "sieve://127.0.0.1:4190/?tls=YES";

Hi Paul,

What web server are you using? If you are using apache you can do a redirect
from an http vhost to an https vhost.

Jonathan

Subject: Re: [SOGo] HTTPS switches to HTTP after login

Hi Paul,

please check your Apache configuration. As you want https, you might have to
set lines like
  RequestHeader set "x-webobjects-server-port" "443"
  RequestHeader set "x-webobjects-server-name" "%{HTTP_HOST}e" env=HTTP_HOST
  RequestHeader set "x-webobjects-server-url"
"https://%{HTTP_HOST}e;<https://%25%7bHTTP_HOST%7de> env=HTTP_HOST

In my configuration, those (in /etc/apache2/conf-available/SOGo.conf, but my
box is running Debian - might be a little different) were surrounded by
, so perhaps you also need to enable that module
(a2enmod headers).

Lacking those (or having them disabled, effectively), page redirects might
default to http on port 80, which you seem to experience.

Hope this helps!

OS: Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS
Version: SOGo v4 Nightly Build

Hi all,

I've started over and built a SOGo server from the ground up. Apache2, MySQL
5.7.26, Postfix (latest from repos), Dovecot, etc.

I've got a wildcard SSL certificate from Comodo and got my Apache2
configuration working properly. I can visit https://[mx.domain.com]/SOGo and
get a login page.

I have a test user, sogoadmin, in the Mysql database with a password set for it.

When I log in:

https://[mx.domain.com]/SOGo/so/sogoadmin/Mail/

I get "Authenticating" then "Welcome SOGo Admin" and then it spins for
awhile.

Eventually it errors out and the URL has changed to

http://[mx.domain.com]/SOGo/so/sogoadmin/Mail/view#!/Mail/0/INBOX

instead of

https://[mx.domain.com]/SOGo/so/sogoadmin/Mail/view#!/Mail/0/INBOX.

If I just add the s in after the http, it lets me continue on to the user inbox.

Is there somewhere in the configuration that I need to tell SOGo that we're
requiring HTTPS at all times?

Thanks, all!

RE: [SOGo] Encoding of Arabic (Windows-12256) Not Work

2019-07-10 Thread Jonathan Aquilina
Hi,

The windows-1256 wont work as that is specific to microsoft windows only not
your standard encoding in the earlier email he had shown en-US.utf8 which is
not Arabic encoding on centos.

Jonathan

Subject: Re: [SOGo] Encoding of Arabic (Windows-12256) Not Work

Hi.

Just tested a bit and can confirm this is an issue, and i think the problem is
that SOGo has no rules for charset windows-1256 like for others as seen here.

https://github.com/inverse-inc/sogo/blob/60247e83e7da798bb7292521694812a6ea12ff0f/UI/MailPartViewers/UIxMailPartHTMLViewer.m#L82-L85

My suggesting is that you add this '{ @"windows-1256",
XML_CHAR_ENCODING_ERROR},' to UIxMailPartHTMLViewer.m between line 82/85 and
compile SOGo to see if that helps, and report back.

Now this just a suggestion not tested so can't say if it will work. The reason
i think this is where the issue resides, is as you can see by the image, title
is fine but body is not, and the body part of the mail "look like" it parses
through that method.

[cid:image001.png@01D5374E.8652AE80]

That's just my suggestion, hope you figure out what the root cause is.

That is your issue right there. The encoding is set to US. You need to figure
out the encoding you need for your language.

[SOGo] Problem when upgrading to 3.2.9

2017-07-04 Thread Jonathan Dumaresq

Hi all,

I have upgraded our sogo to version 3.2.9 this morning and I started
receiving this king of email

Cron <sogo@sogo> /usr/sbin/sogo-tool expire-sessions 30;
/usr/sbin/sogo-ealarms-notify

with this content

<0x0x1248680[SOGoProductLoader]> SOGo products loaded from
'/usr/lib/GNUstep/SOGo':
<0x0x1248680[SOGoProductLoader]> MailerUI.SOGo, AdministrationUI.SOGo,
PreferencesUI.SOGo, MainUI.SOGo, Mailer.SOGo, Appointments.SOGo, ContactsUI.SOGo,
MailPartViewers.SOGo, Contacts.SOGo, CommonUI.SOGo, SchedulerUI.SOGo, ActiveSync.SOGo

In my log file I got this also

Jul 04 08:53:28 sogod [1651]: [WARN] <0x0x559c8cfd4630[WOWatchDogChild]> pid
1707 has been hanging in the same request for 3 minutes
Jul 04 08:53:28 sogod [1707]: <0x0x559c8d417360[SOGoActiveSyncDispatcher]>
Sleeping 30 seconds while detecting changes in Ping...

The PID 1707 if looking like this

1707 /usr/sbin/sogod -WOworkersCount 10

After upgrading SOGO, I have restarted my server to be sure everything is
restarted.

Any Idea of what is going on ?

Regards

Jonathan

Re: [SOGo] dovecot-sogo3 and shared folders

2016-11-24 Thread Jonathan Dumaresq

Hi Frank,

Well, I found some sample from openchange webpage. on the dovecot
documentation they have some information too. I have to admit, that it's
never easy to configure this kind of stuff. We are trying to get the
contact creation from web UI to our LDAP server without success in 3
work days...

For the mail sharing, we will have to enable it in dovecot

# ACL and share folder
acl = vfile
acl_shared_dict = proxy::acl

# By default Dovecot doesn't allow using the IMAP "anyone" or
# "authenticated" identifier, because it would be an easy way to spam
# other users in the system. If you wish to allow it,
acl_anyone = allow

namespace {
type = shared
separator = /
prefix = Shared/%%u/
location = maildir:%%h:INDEXPVT=~/Shared/%%u

# this namespace should handle its own subscriptions or not.
subscriptions = no
list = children
}

this should give you a small start on your shar folder.

Hope this help

Jonathan

I assume, that the imported address card has a UID attribute set.
You specify, that UIDFieldName is cn, therefore it imports the UID into cn.
You should use another field for UID, which one depends on your used
objectClass "contact".

Probably as you see, i'm not very comfortable with the addressbook in
LDAP. How I should set the SOGoUserSources correctly to be able to
import a new contact in my LDAP ?

I want to be able to use all the field in the Sogo web interface to do
it. I have read many tutorial, but all thoses tutorial are (I think)
only for reading the LDAP addressbook. I have not found any example
when using the modifiers entry in the SOGoUserSources.

Is there any documentation that explain what field need to be filled to
get this work ?

[SOGo] Can't do a working install

2016-09-12 Thread Jonathan Mathews
Hi All

I have been trying to install SOGo with OpenChange for the past couple of
months now and have not been successful.

I have tried a few different installation guides, but none of them have
helped.

I have managed to get further this time, but every time I start apache I
keep getting the following error:

Job for apache2.service failed because the control process exited with
error code.

I have attached a document with all the commands that I have used to setup
the server., if someone could look through it and advise where I went wrong
or if I am missing a few steps.

I am still learning and would appreciate any advice you could give me.

Sincerely,
Jonathan

[SOGo] subfolder not display new email number

2016-07-20 Thread Jonathan Dumaresq

Hi,

I would like to know how can I have the web interface display the number
of new email I have received from a subfolder in the web interface. I
use sogo 3.1.4.

It's look like I have similar problem with thunderbird. In TB I can have
this "corrected" by setting the
mail.server.default.check_all_folders_for_new to true, but this look
like a patch to me instead of the real correctif.

Is it a config in my dovecot that I should look at ?

I try the shared folder on SOGo and could not get it working.

I have used the iRedMail setup to help confiiguring most of the server.

I have modified the SSL setting to have a proper certificate.

When I get to the shar folder, I share a folder from the user
collec...@mydomain.com with the user jdumar...@mydomain.com with all

I have check in the dovecot.conf file and it's look ok for the sharing

[SOGo] Openchange with existing AD

2016-07-13 Thread Jonathan dumaresq

Hi,

I have a setup using the latest SOGO (3.1.4) and I can get most of it
working. I have installed the activesync and I'm able to get our Android
device working with SOGO. I can also have the IMAP working with TB.

I have installed the outlook sync plugin and can get Task/calendar
working with it. I use the IMAP for outlook (2007/2010) and it's woring
too. ! Wow i'm impressed. Good work.

Now I wonder if I take the road of implementing the openchange part. I
have an existing AD (zentyal) with the schema updated to openchange.

Since I have installed the SOGO completely indépendent of my AD
(xenial), the openchange is not installed (for now).

- Is it possible to use the openchange on a linux that is not a DC ?
(only member of the domain)
- When I create a new user do I need to create something else in my
schema to get the new user working on outlook ?

- Is the effort to get this working give advantages ?

regards

Jonathan

[SOGo] Zentyal installation with small problem

2016-06-13 Thread Jonathan dumaresq

Hi all,

First I would like to tans all the people that work on this project.

I have installed a zentyal community edition to use with
openchange/sogo/activesync etc. I have almost all working on different
platform.

I can sync my calendar with my android/TB and outlook. I can sync all my
mail with Android/TB and outlook. This is verry impressive.

The problem is that in outlook i always get sync error that is growing
in a folder call "Problème de synchronization" (sync problem). The INBOX
look working correctly and I can send/receive mail without problem.

I also see that I have many (Problème de synchronisation) with a number
after. like (1), (3)(1) etc..

The message I received look like this

08:44:16 Synchronisateur Version 12.0.6672

This look like outlook can't sync (Problème de synchronisation) with the
server.

I would like to know what to do to stop this beahavior.

Openchange will only work with Samba version 4.1.18 at latest. This version
of Samba is now EOL and is possibly subject to MITM attacks, so I wouldn't
use it. If I remember correctly, there was also a problem building
ocsmanager on later versions.

[SOGo] SOGo - Openchange issue

2016-05-05 Thread Jonathan Mathews
Hi

Hope someone could assist me.

I am interested in using SOGo as my email server, but have been
experiencing some issues.

I have been trying to install SOGo with OpenChange, as some of the users
prefer to use Outlook 2010.

So I have a CentOS 6.7 server, with epel repo and rpmforge, and have been
following the installation guide on the website, and also the following
guide which is for Ubuntu

https://github.com/DigitalOcean-User-Projects/Articles-and-Tutorials/blob/master/sogo_an_MS_exchange_alt.md

So, when I do yum install samba4, it only installs two packages, samba4 and
samba4-common, so when you run samba-tool, you get a command not found. I
eventually found out that you have to purchase it from sernet, which gives
you all the dependencies to run samba-tool.

I then added the SOGo repo and ran yum install sogo*, the install went
perfect. Then the next step is to install OpenChange, I used the following
instructions:

http://www.openchange.org/download/el.html

So when I ran yum install openchange sogo-openchange-backend
openchange-ocsmanager openchange-rpcproxy

I get openchange-ocsmanager openchange-rpcproxy packages does not exist.

I am not sure if I am doing something wrong, but I followed the
instructions. To me it looks like it is a repo issue, yet I have given the
exact repo that the webstie points me to.

I would apriceate any advice anyone can give me.

Many thanks
Jonathan

Re: [SOGo] External Account / Fetchmail

2015-01-11 Thread Jonathan Colby
So, I think I am asking the same question, Basically If SOGO is not a
complete mail server what is the best way to get a mailserver / sogo setup ?
Zentyal looks like it uses openchange with sogo. But i might be reading
it wrong Is that the best way ?

is the best way to install ubuntu and then the SELINUX and iredmail or
zentyal with sogo ?

What is the smartest way ? If not the smartest way, the best pairing of
products ?

Sogo isn't a mail server itself. To do what you want, you can add your

This only happens with non SOGo servers.
See Bug #1624

I've been testing the Connector version 24.0.2 with Radicale 0.8 and I
haven't seen the vcard UIDs being changed.

FYI: I have posted patches (against v24.0.2) for bugs 1624 and 1411 to
the bugtrack. With those patches applied I *appear* to have a working
remote address book! You may want to give them a try with whatever

Now, to figure out why the remote address book username/passwords aren't
saved...

[SOGo] iRedMail Mysql with sogo

2013-11-07 Thread Jonathan Collins
I have done a search on the mail list and i am finding nothing on intergreation
with iredmail. I have tried several tutorials i have found but most of them are
kind of old. I like iredmail because the ease of setup and adding accounts. I
could use some help on what the best setup is for Ubuntu and a mail client. If
anyone has some direction or can point me to a good article on setting up both
mail and sogo i would appreciate it. I am not against using something besides
iredmail. Iredmail also has other options such as ldap instead of using mysql.
Thanks

Re: [SOGo] Training

2013-06-26 Thread Jonathan Goyette
No lies, 2 weeks ago I didn't know anything about postfix, cyrus, how to
setup an ldap server, sasl or anything related to a 'business linux mail
server'. and thanksfully, with alot of effort, I managed to learn about
all of those modules and setup a working lab composed of postfix,
cyrus-imap, ldap, sogo, sasl and some startls etc etc. I just finished
making everything work with the thunderbird addon today and I must admit
that I find this alternative very interesting so far !! :)

Thanks alot for this :D

to get back on the topic, I would admit that it is a little hard to find
good information that looks like 'course' or good tutorial that really
covers everything. I believe that this is simply because all those things
are heavily configurable and most of the tutorial I saw lacked alot of
information. Hell, just postfix in itself is a beast when it comes down to
the amount of possible option settings there is!

I personally chose self training, by reading alot of the original manual,
mixed with a few trial errors from some tutorials, more reading! and well,
make a lab with some vm (I use virtual box..) and fix some objective...
Then in the process you might have a better idea of what kind of course
you're looking for and might even find it yourself ;p hehe, well that was
just my 2 cents. no need to flame me on that :D

in the process of building sogo I figured out that there is so much
différent things you can use...

Just as an example, I found out that you have Directory389, slapd, apacheDS
or even freeipa. Oh well, sorry for the lack of reference, and good luck :)

 G'day guys

I've been following SOGo for awhile now, used the ZEG and played with

My question is I have access to a vast amount of small businesses that I
currently support and would love to support in the area of an Exchange
alternative. But my reluctance is that I don't understand SOGo, OpenChange,
Dovecot, Samba4, Sope, etc. I was wondering if anyone knew or could tell me
where I could get training in this area.

Currently I have a basic understanding of Linux, but I'm looking for a
cutting edge education. The local education places only support Samba3
which annoys me to no end.

So in a nutshell, if I were to do some courses (online preferably) what
 is the recommendation?

Also I just want to say brilliant venture, I love Linux so keep up the
 great work.

 Hello Steven,

I have been following SOGo for several months now and played with the ZEG
and tried to add SOGo to a Debian server. I think there is a long way to go
with this before I can use it and I don't think it's a matter of training.
I have used ClearOS 5.2 successfully for small businesses. With it's web
interface it's very easy to get it to do all the things it's capable of
such as file sharing, email and hosting the companies website. (I can't say
 the same about ClearOS 6)

The 'Internet' defines lots of things for us, like how websites work, how
email works and how DNS works. What it does not define is how address books
work. All I want is a simple centralised database of email addresses that
is shared by all email users in the company.

Back in the 90's there was a fantastic thing called Lotus Notes which was
the ultimate groupware. There are no open standards to let you create one
in Linux. Whare are the IMAP and SMTP protocols for address books and
 calendars?

I have no idea why people would create standards such as IMAP yet not
carry on and create standards for address books. Unless it's so that
Microsoft Exchange has no competitor in the Open Source area.

 Regards,
 Wayland.

(Someone please correct me if I am wrong)

Well currently i use Horde Webmail groupware. It supports CalDav and
CardDav plus active sync capabilities with iOS and Android up to AS 14.1

But SOGo and the native Outlook support is a winner in my books, plus
coupled with Samba 4 and goodbye Microsoft in a couple of years I would say.

The trick I'm sure is to know how to set it up, but most importantly how
 to keep it running.

Anyway I hoping that someone has an answer for my original question.

Have you uncommented the

If not, then do it ;)

I'm subscribed (read-only) to 5 people's calendars. Even if the

subscribed to them. If someone sends out a calendar event to me and
these 5 other people, T-bird says I have 6 open invitation

for myself, I have 5 remaining. And occasionally I get reminders to
reply to these open invitations, event though I don't have access to

Is there a way to get T-bird to ignore invitations that I don't have

 Anyone else having this problem?

 Thanks,

I can confirm this behaviour for invitations and reminders. It would
seem that appropriate filtering according to the user is not done.

You may want to try replacing @ with %40. I have not had the
opportunity to try it, but it seems that there is a good chance this
could work.

[SOGo] Accessing a remote SOGO/OpenChange server

2011-10-26 Thread Jonathan Bastien-Filiatrault

Hi,

I've had some trouble accessing a SOGO/OpenChange server on a
distant network (public IP, no firewalling). From what I read in the
Microsoft documentation, when Outlook Anywhere is not available or
enabled, they suggest using a VPN to effectively have a remote lan
link.

The VPN route works very well, Outlook found the server right away
and synced itself.

Without a VPN, Outlook does not send a single packet to the
OpenChange server. Is this expected behaviour ? Is there special DNS
configuration required ? Is Outlook Anywhere absolutely necessary
for this kind of setup ?

[SOGo] Using openchange with usernames that look like email addresses

2011-10-17 Thread jonathan
Hello,

In our current configuration, all usernames are qualified with a domain name in
the form u...@domain.com. This is not a problem for IMAP software or the SOGo
web interface.

I have set up OpenChange successfuly and it works fine when the usernames do
not contain a @. Outlook seems to get confused when this is input as the full
mailbox name ends up being something like
u...@userdomain.com@openchangeserver.com.

Given those facts, my questions are as follows:

 - Is this an Outlook/Exchange or an OpenChange limitation ?
 - Is there a special escape syntax for inputting emails as usernames in
Outlook ?
 - Is there a way to provide a username mapping between the two systems
(substituting @ for %, for example) ?

As always, keep up the great work,
Jonathan
