I still think, until the bug #0001029 is not fixed, the two TB profiles

Thanks to everyone who responded to my original question.
I have to agree with Peter that switching profiles in TB seems like the
cleanest solution for now.
I'll watch bug #0001029 and if there is any way in which testing a
change to this can help, let me know and count me in. ;-)

[SOGo] access multiple users per Thunderbird account with connector

2012-03-11 Thread Martin Waschbüsch
Hi everyone,

Today I found a weird 'problem' concerning SOGo and Thunderbird Connector. I am
unsure if this is something I should rather ask on the Thunderbird list? If so,
please let me know. Also, I don't know for sure bug #0001029 is about the same
thing or related?

Anyway, my setup:

- SOGo 1.3.12c on CentOS 5.8
- Thunderbird 10.0.2 on either Mac or Windows
- Lightning 1.2.3
- SOGo Connector 10.0

The scenario:

Imagine one of two possible scenarios: The same person / user wants to use more
than one account on a given SOGo instance. Either because

A) the server hosts multiple domains via one FQDN to access SOGo and the user
in question has accounts for more than one such domain,
or
B) A server hosts only one domain, but the user needs access to two accounts on
the same domain.

The problem:

The way the current setup works, it seems impossible to make TB do that,
because it will 'remember' only one(!) username/password combo per host used,
effectively blocking access to a second account on the same host but with
different credentials.

Has anyone found a solution for this problem? Is this a limitation in the
Connector or in Thunderbird?

Thanks,

Martin

How can I patch it with CentOS? Sorry but I don't know the commands to patch
 it.

The patch is for the source code. If you installed the sogo packages via yum
and the repository, the patch will do nothing for you. If you want to compile
sogo, read the information here:

http://www.sogo.nu/nc/support/faq/article/how-do-i-compile-sogo-2.html

Assuming the patch is located at /tmp/SOGo.diff, the patch could be applied by
changing into the right folder inside the source tree and run:

patch /tmp/SOGo.diff

Same would be true for the SOPE.diff

Cheers,

Martin

Despite some initial weirdness after upgrading from 1.3.8b to the nightly build
from today (some paths were changed apparently), everything is now working
fine, including sync with iOS 5

Thanks,

For the time being, yes. This is a known issue and apparently being worked on
and hopefully fixed in 1.3.9 (if I read the ticket right).

[SOGo] SOGo 1.3.8 and iOS5 Calendar...

2011-10-12 Thread Martin Waschbüsch IT-Dienstleistungen
Hi all,

After installing iOS 5, a user's personal Calendar is no longer visible on the
iPhone.
I use SOGo 1.3.8 on CentOS 5.7 i386.
I know that a bug with that has already been created and is being worked on, I
just wanted to point out that if there is any need for testing, providing trace
/ dump info, etc. please let me know as I'd like to help resolve this issue.

Thanks,

Martin

[SOGo] newbie question...

2011-03-19 Thread Martin Waschbüsch IT-Dienstleistungen
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

Hi everyone.

First of all: Thanks for a great product! I installed SOGo and love it so far.
Right now, there is just one thing I have trouble with, so if anyone can help
with that...

I run SOGo on a qmail based mail system on CentOS 5.5. Everything works as
expected and I was also able to configure multiple sources for SOGo, e.g.
several ldap trees each reflecting one mail domain. So far so good.

However, I have so far not been able to make SOGo make use of these ldap trees:

Only the ldap tree matching in both /etc/openldap/ldap.conf AND
/etc/openldap/slapd.conf can be used and from how I understand it, while I can
configure multiple ldap databases in slapd.conf, only one can be configured in
ldap.conf.

So, if anyone who uses multi-domain could point me towards a solution?

Thanks a lot,

Martin
