[SOGo] OpenChange Web Application Services

2013-03-12 Thread Netwodist

Hi All,

SOGo Native MS Outlook configuration pdf page 12 speaks about ocsmanager
running on port 5000, autodiscovery and rpc proxy. I have installed my
openchange + samba4 + sogo all from latest stable sources following
openchange cookbook.

There is no such file/bin anywhere in the install called ocsmanager
How do I go about it? I do wan't autodiscover and rpc proxy.

[SOGo] Outlook config server field

2013-03-12 Thread Netwodist

My server is on domain.com
My smb realm is domain.com
My servers hostname is host1
For some reason, when I go to config my outlook for exchange it gets
host1.domain.com in the server field on Add new account wizzard after
I click check name And I think it is the issue as host1.domain.com
subdomain doesnt exist, but domain.com does. Where does the system get
this value from and is it possible to change it?

Kind regards,

Netwodist

Re: [SOGo] Re: New Samba4/OpenChange/Sogo tutorial

I think there is one thing missing from pam configuration. It is this
line session required pam_mkhomedir.so

Which creates a home directory if it doesn't exist for the new user in
AD after authentication.

What do you think Olivier?

I have my stuff working from sources, no tricks, plain stuff the way it

[SOGo] SOGo MySQL bug

2013-03-02 Thread Netwodist
I found this notification on Olivier's tutorial Due to a small bug in
SOGo, it's strongly recommended to use PostGreSQL and not Mysql.

What bug? Where is it? Is it major? I mean as per SOGo official
documentation, I went with MySQL, it says it is supported. Should I move
away from MySQL then? Can I not use sogo and MySQL in production?

I do agree with all the points you made here! :)

I wanted to have it all installed from repositories using packages as
well, but it is not quite durable. It's either all from source except
sogo backend itself or all from packages. Can't mix. But installing it
all from source is better as these repos are not very well maintained
and there are issues all the time.

We can have all your listed points on an installation from source as well :)

As 2.0 is currently RC, you only can get it via mtn from the

When it gets stable you will get it via normal repository in

Ubuntu 12.04 is currently not supported by SOGo/Inverse, but
 there is
 work in progress for it.

So at the moment you have to wait, or use the development branch.
