[SOGo] Can we use a mixture of local and Sogo served user address books ?

2011-11-21 Thread Julian Robbins

Hello

Is it possible to use a mixture of local Thunderbird address books and
remote SOGo user address books on the same system? We want the users who
have local Thunderbird addr books to still be a user in SOGo and have
access to calendars and webmail etc

Using SOGo 1.3.9, Thunderbird 3.1, and Lightning 3.106 and SOGo
connector 3.106 and Integrator 3.106 too

Yes, no problem.

But in many cases you want to move the local adressbooks to Sogo.

Paul.

Yes. This is our problem. We have some users that have no issues at all
with using the SOGo address books, mainly using Windows7. But we have
other users that seem to have no end of problems using address books
stored remotely on SOGo (only seen on WinXP).

You still can use a normal address book.

But we also use SOGo Connector and Integrator which means I believe that
you get additional icons in the Thunderbird Address book, allowing you
to add an address book. But the problem is that this would add SOGo
address books by default, not local ones. We don't want to stop using
Integrator as its useful when adding extra calendars on SOGo for users.

I don't use integrator, so I don't know this.

With regards,
Paul.
