I've spent quite some time diagnosing exactly the same issue.
Unfortunately for me (and only for one user account) everything started
working in the middle of my diagnostics and didn't lead me to any useful
conclusions.

I'm running MySQL as the database back-end to 1.3.9 on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
(64 bit). I have not really found any hard errors to go on. I have
tested the 106 release of the connector and integrator on Thunderbird
3.1.15 and 3.1.16 on Windows and Linux (32 bit) with the issues
appearing on all combinations. I also have Mac OS X users with 3.1.15
complaining of the same symptoms.

Any further information much appreciated...

[SOGo] Problems with Lightning & Thunderbird 3

2011-11-12 Thread sguser
Hi,
I' have some weird problems with Thunderbird 3.1.16 and Lightning. I've
installed the 'normal' Lightning Addon Version 1.0b2. With this version I'm not
able to add a new CalDav calendar. When I go through the wizard of TB and click
'continue' on the second page (on the page where to enter the name of the
calendar), it does nothing at all.
After that I've installed the Inverse version of Lightning (1.0b2.106). With
this version it has been possible to add a Caldav calendar, it has been
possible to make appointments as well, but it has not been not possible to
change the Entries. When I open an appointment i.e. to change the time, nothing
happens when I click 'Save and Close'.
After all, without removing the calendars, I've deinstalled the Inverse Version
of Lightning and installed the 'normal' version of lightning again. Now it is
possible to acces the calendars, to change the appointments, but still no
chance to add a new Caldav calendar.

When I upgraded to TB 8 ( incl. Lightning 1.0) everything works fine. But
unfortunately there is no support for addressbooks yet.

Any ideas how to solve these problems or which combination of Thunderbird and
Lightning will work properly?

MfG
