Hi,
I've just installed Ubuntu 11.10 and now use Thunderbird as default.
I never used SOGo plugin, just the lightning plugin and it works well
for me.
I've noticed something interesting. Before 11.10, I used Evolution and
it implements all standards, such as CalDAV and CardDAV. So I was able
to synchronize Evolution with SOGo without any problems.
There is a packet, named Evolution Data Server, which is necessary for
Evolution but Empathy and others too, and which is present in 11.10.
Thunderbird can use Evolution Data Server and use Evolution Address
Books, so you can configure Address Books with Evolution and CardDAV,
then use them in Thunderbird. It works.
I use Lightning 1.0b7.

Before I upgrade and wish I hadn't: I take it the combination Ubuntu
11.10
„Oneiric Ocelot“, Thunderbird and SOGo Lightning Plugin doesn't work
yet.
I'm upgraded too, i should use only web interface for calendar and
address books. Ther is no other way, i think
