Hello Chaim,

on my machines with SOGo the sogo daemon doas not read the sogo.conf
directly but reads whatever "defaults read" exposes.

defaults(1) - read or modify GNUstep user defaults

Show us the output of "defaults read" as the user that sogo runs as!

It's inconceivable that it can run and access the DB without any
credentials.

[SOGo] sogo.conf

2020-07-27 Thread Chaim Litvin
Hello,
i have newly installed sogo (Version 4.3.0 @shiva2.inverse 202004020653)+ nginx
server.
login page loaded successfully.
On server startup sogo.log have following eror:
[ERROR] |SOGo| No value specified for 'SOGoProfileURL'

i checked  /etc/sogo/sogo.conf and
 SOGoProfileURL = "mysql://sogo:***@:3306/sogo/sogo_user_profile";

then i renamed sogo.conf and made sure that no additional sogo.conf existed on
system.
after restarting server seems that sogo was able to start service without
config file.
Now i got to conclusion that my server simply ignore sogo.conf file.
Will appreciate your assistance.

Re: [SOGo] sogo.conf does not contain a dictionary

2014-12-02 Thread Jens Erat
Hi Mark,

`plparse` is helpful at debugging property lists, as it prints the line
which contains the problem (the character count is from the beginning of
the file, which is less helpful, don't be confused about that).

Regarding your configuration, there are two problems:

- The whole file must be a dictionary, wrapped in curly brackets `{ ... }`
- There are comments using `(: comment :)` and `// comment to the end of
line`, but none starting at `#`

Otherwise your configuration looks (syntactically) fine.

Regards,
Jens

[SOGo] sogo.conf does not contain a dictionary

2014-12-02 Thread Mark Foley
I've seen numerous posts on this problem, but no resolutions. I am installing
the SOGo backend as part of openChange. I've created a /etc/sogo/sogo.conf file
pretty much exactly monkey-typed from the openChange cookbook
(http://www.openchange.org/cookbook/backends/sogo/index.html#sogo-configuration)

And here is your Problem.
You have to enclose strings with whitespace in it into double or single
quotes.
Test with:
  SOGoPageTitle = "Correio UFRJ";

I should read docs sometimes instead of writing scripts :)

I'm not sure it's working as well, but try free this bash script to
convert GNUstep defaults (created by defaults write sogod) to
/etc/sogo/sogo.conf format.

This script only reads the XML file and displays the .conf format to the
screen (can be redirect to file).

# sogoconvert.sh -
#!/bin/bash
PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games

OLD=`nl -w 1 ~sogo/GNUstep/Defaults/.GNUstepDefaults | sed
"s/^\([0-9]\+\)\t\s*/\1|/"`
MAX=$(echo "$OLD" | tail -1 | cut -d'|' -f1)
HOOK=1
unset HC
unset inarray

for LN in $(seq 1 $MAX); do
  LINE=$(echo "$OLD" | egrep "^$LN\|" | cut -d'|' -f2-)
  TAG=`echo "$LINE" | sed "s/^<\([^>]\+\)>.*/\1/" | tr A-Z a-z`
  VAL=`echo "$LINE" | sed "s/^.*>\([^<]\+\)<.*/\1/"`
  case "$TAG" in
"dict")
echo "$HC{"
HOOK=$(expr $HOOK + 2)
HC=$(echo "" | colrm $HOOK)
unset inarray
;;
"/dict")
echo "$HC}"
HOOK=$(expr $HOOK \- 2)
HC=$(echo "" | colrm $HOOK)
;;
"key")
echo -n "$HC$VAL = "
;;
"array")
echo -e "("
inarray=1
;;
"/array")
[ "$inarray" ] && echo
echo "$HC);"
unset inarray
;;
"string")
if [ -z "$inarray" ]; then
  echo "$VAL;"
elif [ $inarray -eq 1 ]; then
  echo -n "$HC  $VAL"
  inarray=2
else
  echo -ne ",\n$HC  $VAL"
fi
;;
esac
done
echo "}"

# End of script

Maybe some lines can be remove from the output. Could someone try it?
Thanks,

No, sogo-tool is not designed for that. If you really want to keep the old
behavior, leave your defaults into ~sogo/GNUstep/Defaults/.GNUstepDefaults and
continue to use 'defaults' to mangle^Wmanage your config. It will work as it
used to.

As for the SOGoDraftFolderName key, the syntax in the config file above is just
fine, so it should work once you add a semi-colon at the end of the 'id' line.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

[SOGo] SOGo, Openchange and /etc/sogo/sogo.conf

2012-12-20 Thread Mark Heisterkamp

Hi,

the 'Native Microsoft Outlook Configuration Guide', version 2.0.3
instructs me on page 11 to tell Samba 4 where the SOGo-config can be found:

ln -s ~sogo/GNUstep /root/

In my setup I am using /etc/sogo/sogo.conf in json-format. Thus there is
no valid config file in ~sogo/GNUstep. How do I tell Samba where to find
the SOGo-config?

Thanks, Mark

[SOGo] config in /etc/sogo/sogo.conf since 2.0.2

2012-10-26 Thread mourik jan heupink

Hi all,

Trying to find some more info on this...

Moved my .GNUstepDefaults to /etc/sogo/sogo.conf, but that results in a
new /home/sogo/GNUstep/Defaults/.GNUstepDefaults.

Would sogo.conf be a normal text file again, and no longer the xml
format..? :-)

Anyone knows where I can read up on this?

MJ
