I have been using Tomcat Manager web interface to deploy/undeploy applications. Recently, I've been experiencing problems. I was wondering if anyone knew what may cause this?
I click undeploy. The browser starts loading. Normally it can take 20 seconds for a large app, but then the interface comes back and the app is properly undeployed. Recently, the browser will load for hours without returning. I try in another window and get the same behavior. This is with Tomcat 5.5.16 running on a shared hosting service. The support staff said, "Tomcat manager doesn't allow to undeploy root application. So you should undeploy it manually." That isn't true, is it? I've undeployed the root application and redeployed a new ROOT.war many times. Any ideas?
