Re: Wicket with Apache Shiro

Has anyone on this list had experience integrating Apache Shiro with their

I am aware of these two integrations:
-

-
https://github.com/55minutes/fiftyfive-wicket/tree/master/fiftyfive-wicket-shiro

app, but I'm struggling with their provided caching implementation with
EhCache. The cacheManager is defined as a bean in my Spring
applicationContext.xml per the documentation, but I keep getting this
 message:

Another CacheManager with same name 'cacheManager' already exists in the
same VM. Please provide unique names for each CacheManager in the config
or do one of following: 1. Use one of the CacheManager.create() static
factory methods to reuse same CacheManager with same name or create one if
necessary 2. Shutdown the earlier cacheManager before creating new one with
same name. The source of the existing CacheManager is:
 DefaultConfigurationSource [ ehcache.xml or ehcache-failsafe.xml ]

I suspect this has to do with the way Wicket behaves with my application
context in general and I'm unsure what the work around is. I was wondering
if anyone on this list has used Apache Shiro Security with Spring on their
 Wicket apps.

This question should be asked in Shiro's users@ list, I think.

Draw inside Apache Wicket

2013-07-29 Thread Marco Di Sabatino Di Diodoro
Hi all,

I'm implementing a Dashboard with Apache Wicket.
In the Dashboard I need to display a diagram with blocks and arrows that
changes over time.

Can you suggest me a graphic library that allows me to draw inside Apache
Wicket?

Thanks,

BR

Re: Draw inside Apache Wicket

2013-07-29 Thread Marco Springer
Hi,

I've used http://jsplumbtoolkit.com and intergrated that library into my
wicket application without too much work.
It also allows for partial updates or complete repaints depending on the HTML
structure that's currently rendered in the browser.

Of course it depends on the requirements but this library is pretty flexible in
it's usage.
I've created a MS Project/Gantt like interface with Wicket jsPlumb and it's
working very well, even with larger data sets.
And it has different render strategies, depending on the browser. Canvas or SVG
or VML for IE.

Cheers,
Marco

I can't reply, but I'd be curious to have a look at your dashboard
application. Especially compared to that one:

Re: Wicket 1.5 URLs

Martin,

Thank you, I got the basics working with Jetty Wicket Filters.
LocaleFirstMapper was a better starting point instead of
PageInstanceMapper.

 Hi,

I think the cleanest approach is to create your own IRequestMapper and set
 it as root mapper.
 See

 https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/WICKET/Request+mapping#Requestmapping-CryptoMapper
 and
HttpsMapper to understand what root mapper is.
 Also see

 https://github.com/apache/wicket/blob/master/wicket-examples/src/main/java/org/apache/wicket/examples/requestmapper/LocaleFirstMapper.java?source=cc
 to
get the idea. You should prepend a segment for all secured pages.

  /protected/*
All pages annotated with security. [In order to use J2EE security,

  /*
All unprotected pages

Moving to Wicket 1.5 I would like to obtain the following URL schemes
 based
on either an annotation on the class OR extending an interface..
  Protected Pages:
  /protected/wicket/page?1
  Unprotected Pages:
  /wicket/page?1

1- I have explored the mountedmapper but I don't want to specify each
every class, nor do I want bookmarkable URLs.

2- I am currentl exploring creating a version of pageinstancemapped
prepending /protected which actually generates nice urls.
However, I am currently getting a page expired. (I am still trying to
 dig
  through the cause etc)

  My question:
Is there a different recommended way to generate these custom URLs in a
generic way much like PageInstanceMapper based on either an annotation
 on a
class or interface the class would implement OR am I going down the right
  path with extending PageInstanceMapper?
