Stateless pagination

2013-08-05 Thread Raul
Hello, anyone has done any component that is a stateless paginator, I read
this tutorial,
http://letsgetdugg.com/2009/05/27/wicket-stateless-pagination/, but it is
for wicket 1.4 and is a paginator very simple.

Hi,

All you have to do is to use BookmarkablePageLink in the navigator.
Use PageParameters to set the current page.

Check with Firebug or similar whether there is an Ajax request when you use

Re2: file upload in nested form with CPM needs dummy model

2013-08-05 Thread Tom Eicher

Hello Martin  List,

Would it not be much more straightforward to just instantiate one of the
existing models, like
new FileUploadField(**UploadFileField, new ModelListFileUpload()));
or some Model.of() variant ?

You mean Wicket automatically to do this for you ?

In current Wicket if a component has no model then its parent is asked.
If the parent's model
implements org.apache.wicket.model.IComponentInheritedModel then Wicket
asks it for a model for the child. This is how CompoundPropertyModel works.

If there is no IComponentInheritedModel up in the hierarchy then the
component just has model == null.

For your use case we can introduce Component#newDefaultModel() that can
return a sane default model per component. And this method should be called
only when org.apache.wicket.Component#initModel returns null.

I don't like much such automatic/automagic behaviors. I prefer to see an
exception message telling me what I forgot to do. But some people may like
this solution.

No, that would be too much.

How about making FileUpload Serializable ?
Then I could just Model.of(new FileUpload()) couldn't I ?

Cheers, Tom.

Link to static image from packaged css

2013-08-05 Thread Tom Eicher

Hello,

there seems to be some difficulty linking between static and
packages resources, or at least a lot of confusion in forums ;-)

If I refer to a static css from a wicket:link or wicket:head,
the link will be relativized automatically, right ?

However, I do have a CSS that is specific to a special page,
and thus I have page .html, .css and .js for this special
page side-by-side packed and included via
CssResourceReference and JavaScriptResourceReference.

Now, inside my .css, I have a
  background: url('img/formbg.png') no-repeat;

but the resource is not found.

using / prefix will tie me to a context prefix
using several ../ will work but certainly isn't very
professional or stable.

What's the best idea here ?

Cheers, Tom.

It seems I cannot understand what is the issue you try to explain.

You can do: new FileUploadField(fileUpload, new ListModelFileUpload())

Since HTML5 input type=file can support multiple files and that's why
FileUploadField works with a List.

AutoCompleteTextField's getChoices method not called with jquery

2013-08-05 Thread Giovanni
Hi!

I tried to implement AutoCompleteTextField in my project but failed when
started to use jquery lib with this Component.

Markup of AutoCompletePage.html is:
/?xml version=1.0 encoding=UTF-8 ?
html xmlns:wicket=http://wicket.apache.org;
body
input type=text wicket:id=ac size=50 /
/body
/html/

Code of AutoCompletePage.java is:
import java.util.ArrayList;
import java.util.Iterator;
import java.util.List;

/import
org.apache.wicket.extensions.ajax.markup.html.autocomplete.AutoCompleteTextField;
import org.apache.wicket.markup.html.WebPage;
import org.apache.wicket.model.Model;

public class AutoCompletePage extends WebPage {
@Override
protected void onBeforeRender() {
final AutoCompleteTextFieldString field = new
AutoCompleteTextFieldString(ac, new ModelString()) {
@Override
protected IteratorString getChoices(String input) {
ListString choices = new ArrayListString();
choices.add(Foo);
choices.add(Bar);
choices.add(Baz);
return choices.iterator();
}
};
add(field);

super.onBeforeRender();
}
}/

This code work perfectly and getChoices method successfully called when
input is chages, but if I add to markup jquery library:
/head

/head/
getChoices method don't called
I tried to use other versions of jquery (1.7.3, 2.0.3), but this led to the
same result. I'm use Wicket 6.6.0.
Can anyone help me? Thanks!

2013-08-05 Thread Martin Grigorov
Hi,

Extract the code in a Panel component and reuse it in different pages.

 hello
 is it possible to replace content of div with content of
 WebMarkupContainer when user clicks on ajaxLink?

 I have DataView enclosed in WebMarkupContainer, java seems like this:
 WebMarkupContainet tableContainer = new WebMarkupContainer(**
 tableContainer);
 tableContainer.add(**dataview)

 html:
 div wicket id=tableContainer
 ...
 tabletr wicket:id=dataview.../tr**/table
 /div

 And i want to replace the content of another div in another page with
 content of tableContainer

 For clarification: i have table of Users used in UserListPage, but same
 table should be accessible as subtable of Company table in CompanyListPage.
