 So, my question is, how to update both? For example, update both with a

You need to target.add(otherComponent) in your
UpdatingBehavior.onUpdate(target), maybe also in onError.

I usually do the image issues using an image program.You can also take a
look at this .NET Image SDK which includes several library controls to
perform complete image processing tasks, especially for downloading image

gmap3 Geocoder and list of locations

2013-10-17 Thread Dirk Forchel
Hi,
I'm a newbie to all the Google Maps API stuff and I've noticed that a
wicket-stuff project (gmap3) could help me to show a Google Map with a list
of shops for a known business company. I found an example on this french
page http://www.bebecash.com/Magasins/ which is similar to our tasks. And I
know it exists a geocode example within the wicket-stuff gmap3 project
which, I think, is a good starting point.
What would be the prefered way to feed the GeoCoder with the location data?
And what is the right way to hook in my data.
Any hints?
Thanks,
  Dirk

Shared data between sessions on forms, wanted behaviour?

2013-10-17 Thread Thomas Krieger
Hi, i need some help to understand an wicket behaviour after i updated to 6.6
from 6.4.

We have a search form in a panel in our Shop System which contains an
attribute for the form data:

public class SearchForm extends FormSearchParameter
{
...
private SearchParameter   param;
...

In the constructor the input field is connected via a model to the param
object

text  = new TextFieldString(shop.search.input,new
PropertyModelString(param, text));

After the submit the input is given to the session object an the search
result page is opened.

While we were using wicket 6.4 everthing works fine. After the update to 6.6
i see a new behaviour. If i go on the desktop open the page and fill the
search textfield everything is ok.
Now i open the same page on another PC with a complete new session and the
object of the form seems to be the same, because the search textfield on the
other computer is filled with the search from my first task.

In 6.4 the object was a new instance without any attribute data from other
requests.

So between differnt sessions the same object cache is used. Is this
behaviour wanted or what is my mistake here. Appreciate your help.

Thomas

Re: gmap3 Geocoder and list of locations

2013-10-17 Thread Dirk Forchel
Hi Martin,
thanks for your answer. Actually, all of our stores are persistent in our
database. These are about 300 and I think it is a good idea to pre-compute
all the coordinates (GLatLng) with a cronjob. Afterwards I would like to
show only a part of these stores which fit to a certain specific pattern
(e.g. post code or region or whatever). The result list of these stores
taken from the database should be shown. So I think it is a good idea to to
call serverGeocoder.findAddress(address) from the cronjob, store the GLatLng
values in the database along with the address. What do you think?

I guess there is no reason of a cron job too.
Since the stores do not change frequently it is OK just to put their
coordinates in the DB and update them when there is a change.

Re: Shared data between sessions on forms, wanted behaviour?

Hi,

Sharing of data between sessions is not a feature of Wicket.
If you are able to reproduce the problem in a quickstart application with
Wicket 6.11 then please attach it to a ticket in JIRA.

Re: gmap3 Geocoder and list of locations

OK, sounds reasonable. Is there a way to return only these stores with their
coordinates (GLatLng) which fit into a special bound. I mean, the user types
in a region or postcode and wants to so only thouse stores which fit into
this bound. How could I perform this?
Thanks in advance.

Re: gmap3 Geocoder and list of locations

2013-10-17 Thread Martin Grigorov
I think the best would be to render markers for all stores and center the
map according to the zipcode and zoom it appropriately.
This way the user will see only the stores in the visible area of the map.
But if (s)he zoom out the map then (s)he will see more stores and choose
any of them.
Otherwise you will have to listen for bounds_changed event and add/remove
markers dynamically.

RE: Browser Page Refresh Not Really Refreshing

2013-10-17 Thread dhongyt
Thanks Paul for your guidance.
After reading your link and other links on the web to understand stateful vs
stateless, it has lead me to other questions:

Currently my application is stateful.

1. Since I am authenticating my users, does it need to be stateful because
of authentication?
I have a User Session but I don't believe I really store anything useful
(except for user authentication) or need to store previous actions that a
user may do. Seems to me like I do create stateless links, ie. creating new
pages with a constructor and only passing in PageParameters and nothing
else.

2. If I use sessions, does that mean my application cannot be stateless?

3. If my application needs to be stateful and I understand the article
properly, the reason why my refresh does not give me new data is because the
page versioning is giving me data that is at the current page version. So
how would I do it so that when there is a refresh then it would increment
the page version by one? Or should I never do that? Different way of going
about it?

Loading content of IFrames only when displayed

2013-10-17 Thread Christian Schröter

Hello,

I'm using the InlineFrame class to display an IFrame. Now the IFrame is
added in a dialog prompt, which is not visible by default. The user has
to click a certain link to see the IFrame in the dialog prompt.

Unfortunately the browser loads the URL defined in the source attribute,
no matter if the IFrame is visible or not. In my opinion, it would be
better to load the content only if the iframe is visible.

A solution to achieve this goal is explained here:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/13437091/is-it-possible-to-not-load-an-iframe-in-a-hidden-div-until-the-div-is-displayed

But for some reason the onComponentTag(ComonentTag tag) is declared
final in the InlineFrame class.
I don't understand why the method is final and I'm a bit clueless how to
proceed.

Hopefully someone can help me.

Thanks,
Christian

Re: wicket- jqueryui Kendo DateTimePicker timePattern

Hi,

According to the Kendo UI's doc [1], you need to set the following options:

Options options = new Options();
options.set(interval, 45);
options.set(min, new Date(2000, 0, 1, 9, 0, 0)); //9:00:00, the date
part is ignored

final TimePicker timepicker = new TimePicker(timepicker, model, options);
form.add(timepicker);

Hope this helps,
Sebastien.
