As discussed, and not hearing any objections, I've updated the
wicketstuff-core project to depend on Wicket 1.4.7.
  wicketstuff-core's
version number is now 1.4.7-SNAPSHOT, and the idea is that people can
test it, and barring any major problems it can be released as a
 stable
   version 1.4.7 .

Now, before people can easily test this, the artifacts need to get
 into
the wicket snapshots maven repository, right? Can someone with the
requisite permissions make this happen? In the meantime of course
people are encouraged to download the projects and build and test
 them
   locally.

In addition to wicket, the following dependencies were also updated
 to
the latest stable version within the same major version of the
 project.
I did not attempt to move Lucene from version 2.4.1 to 3.0.1, for
instance, since more significant changes might be required for this
 (if
any subproject is actually using it).

Jetty: 6.1.22
Lucene: 2.4.1
slf4j: 1.5.11
JUnit: 4.8.1

I had to make a couple of changes to get everything to build with the
new dependencies (commented out wagon-ssh-external extension from
inmethod-grid; added new required constructor argument to two
 instances
of SpringComponentInjector). People should test the build and make
 sure
these changes are ok. But at least for me, I can do a mvn install
 at
the top level and it works.

I would suggest using a profiler to analyze memory snapshots for
retained objects. I believe netbeans comes with an adequate profiler,
and otherwise I'd suggest trying out yourkit (which has worked very
  well at our company)

Also if you take a heap-dump, the Eclipse Memory Analyzer tool has reports
that try to identify the source of the leak / memory over-usage.

Re: how to add filter for Palette choice

2009-04-27 Thread --
yes, i can setMarkupId for Palette. but now i want to filter for palette's

there is no public getChoicesComponent() method for choicesComponent.

2009/4/28 Martin Makundi martin.maku...@koodaripalvelut.com

Why cannot get markupid? You can determine it yourself (setMarkupId)

You could also update via ajax using a textfield which sends the
filtered text to server and server updates the select via ajax...

I wonder if someone has made a select in which the filter is visually
 built into the select component?

how to start wicketstuff-core's GMAP2

2008-12-26 Thread --
First Sorry for my poor english.

I have checked out wicketstuff-core source code, but i do not know how to
generate wicket-core jars and example war.

I want to run GMAP2 example, and then want to add GMAP2 to my wicket
project(now using wicket 1.3.5).

thanks.

now, the GMAP2 example works, thanks.

web.xml file of wicketstuff-push has some problem.

the web.xml content in example war file as follow:

?xml version=1.0 encoding=UTF-8?
!DOCTYPE web-app PUBLIC -//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application
 2.3//EN http://java.sun.com/dtd/web-app_2_3.dtd;
 web-app id=WebApp_ID
 display-namewicketstuff-push-examples/display-name
 welcome-file-list
 welcome-fileindex.html/welcome-file
 welcome-fileindex.htm/welcome-file
 welcome-fileindex.jsp/welcome-file
 welcome-filedefault.html/welcome-file
 welcome-filedefault.htm/welcome-file
 welcome-filedefault.jsp/welcome-file
 /welcome-file-list
 /web-app

Do you have maven installed? If so, it should just be like this:

 svn co

 https://wicket-stuff.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/wicket-stuff/trunk/wicketstuff-core
 cd wicketstuff-core
 mvn -N clean install
 cd gmap2-parent
 mvn clean install
 cd gmap2-examples
 mvn jetty:run

 Now browse http://localhost:8080/gmap2-examples/

Notice that in the first mvn clean install there is -N - this is
non-recursive so you only build the parent wicketstuff-core POM module and
 not all the children.

Also note that GMap2 (and all wicketstuff-core projects) are currently
 built
against Wicket 1.4-SNAPSHOT. You may have to look to the old 1.3.x branch
in wicket stuff and experiment on your own to get a 1.3.5 version. Or just
change the pom and compile against 1.3.5, and fix any compile errors
 (probably mostly generics).
Hope this helps. The other option (if you don't have Maven) is to get the
 latest war from

 http://wicketstuff.org/maven/repository/org/wicketstuff/gmap2-examples/1.4-SNAPSHOT/
