Does this happen in a quickstart? Again, I've never seen this before. What I'm trying to do is eliminate variables here. If this happens in an isolated situation, then it's a problem. If not, then it's something in your environment. This sounds very familiar to me, though. Someone on this list asked a question about having the images clickable automatically before.
