Re: Getting client IP address
It's not terribly reliable from what I remember, but if it works, it works. :) On Tue, Oct 12, 2010 at 7:50 AM, Maris Orbidans wrote: > Yes, hostname. > Sorry, I thought about something else. > >> -Original Message- >> From: jcar...@carmanconsulting.com > [mailto:jcar...@carmanconsulting.com] >> On Behalf Of James Carman >> Sent: 12 October 2010 12:25 >> To: users@wicket.apache.org >> Subject: Re: Getting client IP address >> >> ServletRequest.getRemoteHost(): >> >> "Returns the fully qualified name of the client or the last proxy that >> sent the request. Yes, hostname. Re: Getting client IP address
ServletRequest.getRemoteHost(): "Returns the fully qualified name of the client or the last proxy that sent the request. If the engine cannot or chooses not to resolve the hostname (to improve performance), this method returns the dotted-string form of the IP address. For HTTP servlets, same as the value of the CGI variable REMOTE_HOST." Re: Getting client IP address
There may be a more "correct" way of doing it, but this will work - getWebRequestCycle().getWebRequest().getHttpServletRequest().getRemoteAddr(); On Wed, Oct 6, 2010 at 9:46 PM, Josh Kamau wrote: > Hi Team; > > Is it possible to get the IP address of the client and how? > > kind regards. > -- Richard Nichols http://www.richardnichols.net/ :: http://onmydoorstep.com.au/
