I am facing the same problem.
Any ideas on what might be wrong ?
I am using :
- Windows Server 2008
- Xwiki 4.2 Standalone version
- Google Chrome
in the file : XWIKI/webapps/xwiki/WEB-INF/xwiki.cfg, the variable
xwiki.plugins contains at the end :
I don't think so ... When you restart Tomcat, do you have any error about the
ratings plugin ?

Thanks for your reply. I have reinstalled the ratings extension multiple
times, but with no effect.
Maybe the problem is the container restarting. If I restart the xwiki
container I´m getting a Apache/Tomcat error:
javax.servlet.ServletException: com.xpn.xwiki.XWikiException: Error number 3

Also, just in case, ensure that you have restarted xwiki container after
having declared the plugin in xwiki.cfg.
