Re: [xwiki-users] Custom Xar

2009-04-23 Thread Hesediel

Morning Sergiu,

I've just check the logs to see if there are errors. I've got this error
when I tried to import my xar containing pages with accents
:java.lang.IllegalArgumentException.

The encoding specified in the package.xml is the same specified in yours :
?xml version=1.0 encoding=ISO-8859-1 ?

Re: [xwiki-users] Custom Xar

2009-04-23 Thread Hesediel

It must be the program I use in order to compress my files. I've tried with :
  * Winrar 3.80.
  * Winzip 8.0.

And I didn't work. Which programs do you use in order to compress files to
do a zip (and then a xar) ?

Thanks in advane,

Hesediel.

[xwiki-users] Modifying class property value programmatically

2009-04-23 Thread Ajdin Brandic
Is there a way of updating class property values using Velocity or
Groovy?

I have a class property called Group which contains values (A, B, C ..)
but want to allow users to be able to add/remove groups without editing
the class via the Admin area.

 Hello everyone,

I've got another question in order to create a customise xar. I want to
 save
the page layout of a space and the content of the right and left column.

 Is it possible?

If yes, to do that, have I to add in the folder of my space (in the xar)
 the
page WebPreferences.xml ? (WebPreferences.xml linked to my space)

Yes, that's where those settings are saved.

 Thanks in advance,

 Hesediel.

Re: [xwiki-users] How to save the page Layout for a space

2009-04-23 Thread Hesediel

Hi guillaume,

thanks for this quick answer :).
Could you tell me which program is used to make the zip in order to have a
xar ? (to custom a xar)
I've tried Winzip, Winrar and 7z (like I said in my post Custom xar) but
I've got a error in the logs of TomCat.

This error only occurs when I have in my xar page like that :
Pr+®sentation.xml +® for the é. If you want further details about this
please read my post named custom xar (I'm really blocked).

Thanks in advance,

Hesediel.

Re: [xwiki-users] How to save the page Layout for a space

2009-04-23 Thread Hesediel

Another quesiton about Wbepreferences...

This page contains the Panels application which may be updated often, isn't
it right ?
I don't want to be dependant of this application. My purpose in to have 2
different xar, one is the basic xar you provide us, the other is the xar
containing space and pages we have created and customised (WebPreferences).

So we don't have interaction between the two xar : we can update Xwiki (by
installing the new basic xar) and import in the new version we have just
installed the content we have in the elder one (by importing the other xar).

Is it possible ? (to be as independant as that)

Sorry to bother you with that :)

[xwiki-users] Comments are minor edits

Hi,

I'm a new XWiki user, and I've just noticed that comments made to pages
don't appear in the Recent Changes section, unless I select Show minor
edits. Is there any way to make comments normal edits? This is quite
inconvenient since comments are an important part of my wiki. Any help is
much appreciated!

Re: [xwiki-users] Moving spaces and their contents

2009-04-23 Thread Mike Jakubik
Thanks, ill give that a try.

Ed Callahan wrote:
We've been making copies of spaces via export for documentation translation.
We export the space, explode the xar, edit the package.xml and run a
find/replace on the contents to the new space name before
re-packing/importing back in. This generally works well preserving
 relations, etc within the content.
In your case you would want to delete the old space, of course.

 Hope this is helpful.

Which XWiki version are you using? In which browser?
In XWiki Enterprise 1.8 there is a special icon on the dashboard to show
that a comment has been added to a document, and clicking on show comment
displays it right on the dashboard, which is the expected behavior...
