Re: [xwiki-users] Cant delete attachments
Hello Thomas I'm experiencing the same topic as described above. However, I'm running version 2.3.28602. In your post you mentioned that the problem would have been fixed in version 2.1.1. Has it been fixed or is this a different issue? Is there any work-around which I take for now to remove the attachment? Thank you! [xwiki-users] Bulletin Board Application Unable to create Topics/Categorys
I have recently installed the Bulletin Board Application and am having some troubles. After creating our own bulletin board, when trying to create a new category or topic it sends me to a JIRA failed startup page, also when trying to use the example one that comes with it, it tells me that this document does not exist. I am fairly new to using Xwiki and this could be something simple that I am not seeing. So what is happening, I can create a new topic or category but only if i click edit then preview, from there it shows me the Topics page i have created, I click on create a new topic add a name and click view once again, it shows me the new topic i have created if. If i click save and view, then save and view again, to save the topic i created and the topics code page, it will then create my topic. [xwiki-users] BUG: Attachments become empty after a while
Hi, I'm facing some trouble with attachments becoming empty (zero bytes) after some time they were uploaded. I'm using XWiki Enterprise 2.4.30451. I've searched the mail archives and it seems to exist a bug in the cache coherency. I could not find anything related on JIRA. My -Xms and -Xmx are both 768m. Although my max packet size on MySQL is 20Mb for attachments, the files that are becoming empty are docs, pictures and xls's of a few Kbytes. Can someone point me some cause and solution on this please? Regards, Ramon Gomes Brandão ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users
Re: [xwiki-users] Bulletin Board Application Unable to create Topics/Categorys
Weird it worked for me, just a couple of days ago. Have you saved the pages with programming rights ? Also there seems to be a small missscripting as only administrators could create a category on my xwiki (changed that ...) Also what XWiki Version are you using. I used the 2.4 release. I believe we are using 2.3 or 2.4, its not the latest version of Xwiki, where do I find the version exactly? also, All I remember reading about the pages with programming rights is they have to be saved by an Adminstrator if im not mistaken. What exactly do you mean by saved the pages with programming rights. I tried doing the same thing with the example bulletin board that came with the pluggin as well. And it just sends me to a This page does not exist whereas the Bulletin Board I created Specifically for our group seems like its trying to direct me away from Xwiki all together. -- View this message in context: http://xwiki.475771.n2.nabble.com/Bulletin-Board-Application-Unable-to-create-Topics-Categorys-tp5603673p5604361.html Sent from the XWiki- Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users

Re: [xwiki-users] BUG: Attachments become empty after a while
This is almost definitely caused by the attachment not saving properly. Despite the failure to save, the cache holds the attachment for a time but eventually it is cleared and the attachment appears to vanish. The cache inconsistency is fixed as of 2.5M1. As far as the attachment not saving properly and showing no sign, usually we start by blaming mysql max_packet_size. If you upload an attachment about the size of the largest attachment you ahve uploaded so far, check the tomcat log and you will probably see an exception trace. This will tell you what caused the problem. Re: [xwiki-users] BUG: Attachments become empty after a while
This will only happen to attachments which fail to upload, I'm guessing this only happens on the largest attachments. You will find a lot more information inside your tomcat log. You might try searching the logs for XWikiHibernateAttachmentStore.
