Re: [xwiki-users] Dropping support for IE6?
More opinions on this topic would help. +1 for dropping from a developer perspective Thanks, Caty On Wed, Dec 15, 2010 at 14:21, Tim Jones tim.jones@gmail.com wrote: +1 :-) Tim On 14 Dec 2010, at 10:06, Vincent Massol wrote: Hi everyone, As users, I'm wondering what you'd think if we were to drop support for IE6 in the XWiki Enterprise 3.X cycle. Would that be a huge problem for you? The reason I'm asking is because supporting IE6 costs us a lot in term of extra development time and by dropping it we could be faster on other stuff. Note that this is just me asking, there's no plan about this at this point in time, I'm just curious to have some feedback, especially since support for IE6 has been dropped for lots of services and software out there (including Microsoft). Great work! In the roadmap the migration of the portlet code from sandbox to core is mentioned, what about that? Is it still part of your plans for 3.0? I'll let Marius reply but I think it's been dropped for 3.0 since Marius wanted to focus on other things. Marius, what are your plans/wishes re finishing the portlet integration you started in sandbox? Unfortunately I won't have time to work on portlet integration for 3.0 release. For 3.0M3 I have to commit the office presentation viewer, the WYSIWYG editor administration section and some improvements to the macro support in WYSIWYG editor. I hope to handle the portlet integration during the 3.1 time span. Since Colibri is now the default skin the documentation should be updated to reflect that. You can update it yourself. You just have to register on xwiki.org which is a public wiki. Keeping the documentation up to date is a community effort. Thanks, Marius ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users
Re: [xwiki-users] download link for Google Document Viwer Macro
Slightly off-topic : I've seen a presentation of WebODF ( http://www.webodf.org/) at FOSDEM, which would allow to create an office viewer macro that does not require an OOo server. Drawback is that it does not support MS Office files, just ODF files.
