Re: [xwiki-users] Show Lucene Search Results in same Space

2011-04-06 Thread Wouter de Vos
Hi Sergiu,

Thanks so much it did the trick, it took me a while (as a learning by
doing person) but it works excellent!
The only thing I did not get done was the change in the
Main.LuceneSearch document, the lines I need to replace are not there,
so I dont know where to put it. Ideas? Am I looking at the wrong
document?

 Hi All,

 I am testing around with the Lucene Search, all works well, one problem
 remains:

 I search in Space A. My search results however, are shown in the Main
 Wiki Page. This has a different look and feel, and since I do not want
 to have confused users, I would like to display the search results in
 the same Space as where the User was was in when he-she started the
 search. I am guessing its only a one line change in some form, but I
 cant seem to find it, I hope someone can help me out..

 By default the search feature is implemented as a wiki documents like
 all the others, you can edit it, rename it, move it to another space.

 This means that all search results are displayed in the same document,
 Main.Search, it's not a virtual pseudo-page that works in all spaces.

 You could, however, proxy the search from a velocity template applied to
 the current space.

 You can put this content in a file named search.vm:

 #set ($doc = $xwiki.getDocument('Main.Search'))
 #set ($cdoc = $doc)
 #set ($tdoc = $doc)
 #template('contentview.vm')

 You should upload it as an attachment to the current skin document (by
 default that's XWiki.DefaultSkin), but if you have more than one skin,
 one for each space, you could also put it on the server in
 webapps/xwiki/templates

 This template allows to display the search results in the URL of another
 document.

 Then you should edit the file webapps/skins/colibri/global.vm, locate
 the search form, and replace the following:

div id=globallinks
  form
 action=#if($xwiki.exists('Main.Search'))$xwiki.getURL('Main.Search')#else$xwiki.getURL('Main.WebSearch')#end
div class=globalsearch
  label class=hidden for=headerglobalsearchinput

 ==

div id=globallinks
  form action=$doc.getURL()
div class=globalsearch
  input type=hidden name=viewer value=search /
  label class=hidden for=headerglobalsearchinput

 The changed file can be uploaded as an attachment to the skin document
 as well, or it can be left in place (but leaving it there makes upgrades
 harder, since you have to remember to merge this change back when
 upgrading).

 This change makes searching from the searchbox located in the header to
 display results in the current page.

 Then you have to edit the Main.LuceneSearch document and replace the
 following:

  form action=$doc.getURL('view', 'viewer=search')
div class=globalsearch
  label class=hidden for=headerglobalsearchinput

 ==

  form action=$doc.getURL('view', 'viewer=search')
div class=globalsearch
  input type=hidden name=viewer value=search /
  label class=hidden for=headerglobalsearchinput

 This change makes refining the search terms from the results view
 display properly in the same document.

[xwiki-users] Changing the link behind the logo

2011-04-06 Thread Wouter de Vos
Hi all,

I uploaded my own logo.png in the header of my wiki, works great.
Now I would like to change the link behind the logo, I want that it
always points to the Webhome of the space the user is in, and I dont
know how to do this. I allready changed some things in the global.vm
of the skin, I can feel that I am almost there... But I need the code
snippet for pointing towards the Webhome in the Space the user is in.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: [xwiki-users] Changing the link behind the logo

2011-04-06 Thread Andreas Hahn
Hi Wouter,

maybe there are other ways but that's how I've done it:

Search in global.vm for the line:

a href=$!xwiki.getURL('Main.WebHome') title=Home rel=home

and replace 'Main.WebHome' with 'YourSpace.WebHome'

Other option might be to leave global.vm as it is
and redirect from Main.WebHome to your location.
You'd need to insert this code on top of 'Main.WebHome':

{{velocity}}
#if (!$hasEdit)
 $response.sendRedirect($xwiki.getURL(YourSpace.WebHome))
#end
{{/velocity}}

enjoy

Andreas

I'm almost sure this isn't the case and there's no reason it wouldn't work.
XWiki will work with any servlet container. Some servlet containers have
classloader isolation problems but they can be tuned.

You could search the mailing list for weblogic on xwiki.markmail.org

WDYM Ludovic by using your company as a reference for XWiki?

Do you mean to put it on http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/References/ (in
this case us = the XWiki Community) or do you mean using the reference on
xwiki.com (in this case us = XWiki SAS)?

[xwiki-users] Hide (don't show) some macros in WYSIWYG insert macro menu

2011-04-06 Thread Ramon Gomes Brandão - SERINT
Hi XWiki Team,

I would like to hide some macros from the user, in the list presented on the
WYSIWYG editor menu Insert Macro. How can I do that?

The matter is only hiding some of them from the user, to prevent him/her to
select it to use on the page creation. Some of them are not familiar to my
users, and I would like to disable the possibility of use. How can I do that?

And also, is it possible to show those hidden ones only to the admin or the
admin group, or a specific group?

I'm using XE 3.0

Re: [xwiki-users] stopping a page for non-editors

2011-04-06 Thread Guillaume Lerouge
Hi China,

On Tue, Apr 5, 2011 at 16:38, China Sunrise china.sunr...@gmail.com wrote:

 Hi,
 I'm relatively new to xwiki. I have a few pages where dynamic tables had to
 be shown, and I'm using PHP quite heavily there. In a couple of pages, the
 content is supposed to be shown only if the user is in a specific group
 called 'XWikiEditorsGroup'. I didn't want to rely on xwiki's native
 single-page permissions as they looked a little cumbersome for what I
 needed, and preferred to control access via the page code itself. Up to
 xwiki 2.7, the following velocity section, which was the first section in
 the page, did the trick:

 {{velocity}}
 #set($user=$xwiki.getUser())
 #if(!$user.isUserInGroup(XWiki.XWikiEditorsGroup))
  {{warning}}You don't have permission to view this document{{/warning}}
  #stop
 #end
 {{/velocity}}

Why do you need the #stop directive to begin with? Simply remove it and see
what happens.

Guillaume

However, after upgrading to xwiki 3.0, this code no longer works. From what
 I see, the issue appears to be related to velocity 1.7 and its different
 syntax for the #stop directive. I can't seem to find the right syntax
 though. As an alternative approach, I've also tried to relocate this access
 control logic into the PHP code that follows the above velocity section. To
 do that, I need to find a way to get the true/false value of
 $user.isUserInGroup(XWiki.XWikiEditorsGroup) in PHP, but so far haven't
 found a way to do that either and not sure how to pass the $user object and
 its isUserInGroup() method to the PHP part. I've even looked into doing
 this
 in groovy but no luck there either.

 Any advice will be appreciated...
