These errors are not there when a admin user is used.

We are using Apache/2.2.3 (Linux/SUSE) with Single-Sign-On for local
users by ldap. But Single-Sign-On is not integrated into xwiki.
Java is done by the Trifork Application Server.

Usernames are like zimmermann or mzimmer or eb-zimmer. Nothing
special.

I can only see a cookie for xwiki with the JSESSIONID.

Hm, somehow the authentication cookies don't make it to the REST

Assuming you're using an Apache httpd frontend, is there anything

Is there something special with the username?

Can you check with Firebug if the authentication cookies are sent when

Re: [xwiki-users] Timed auto refresh a page

2011-05-31 Thread Eduard Moraru
Hi Nicolas,

You can use JavaScript by adding a JavaScriptExtension object to the
page you want to refresh. In the content(Code) of the
JavaScriptExtension object you can have something like:

function timedRefresh(timeoutPeriod) {
   setTimeout(location.reload(true);,timeoutPeriod);
}

document.observe('xwiki:dom:loaded', function() {
   timedRefresh(5000);
});

...and the page will periodically refresh every 5 seconds (5000
miliseconds).

Using a META/ tag is not really possible from a page's content because
it needs to be put in the head/ of the rendered HTML page and the
content of a wiki page always ends up in the body of the HTML page. In
order to do it, you would have to modify some templates (or
alternatively use the 'Page Elements' section in the wiki Administration
-- xwiki3.0) and you would need to make sure you will refresh only the
pages you want to refresh, and not all the pages.

If you`re ok with JavaScript, this would be the cleanest option (IMO).
Other options may exist.

Hope this helps,
Eduard

 You have a section parameter in include macro.

 See http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Include+Macro

Sorry don't know why I understood include instead of link.

Note that autorefreshes are very bad for accessibility, and they can
frustrate users (like me), I would advise you against using them.

Re: [xwiki-users] Linking to different sections of one page from another?

2011-05-31 Thread andyp
Hi Thomas,

Thanks for that link - I didn't know XWiki could do that (nice!). However,
I don't want to include the content on the current page - just the link that
jumps to a given section. Something like an HTML anchor link (I tried
inserting the HTML macro but no joy).

I noticed that there is an anchor attribute to XWiki links but I can't get
that to work either, maybe I'm using it wrong? On the sandbox page I have
amended the first two links:

* [[Sandbox Test Page 1 - Section 1Sandbox.TestPage1||anchor=HSection1]]
* [[Sandbox Test Page 1 - Section 2Sandbox.TestPage1||anchor=HSection2]]

On TestPage1 I have created a long page of dummy text with two Title 2
heading:

== Section 1 ==
== Section 2 ==

Following the links on the first page always takes me to the top of the
second page. I have even tried adding the following ID macros in the target
page and linking to them from the first page:

{{id name=sec1/}}
{{id name=sec2/}}

Any help appreciated.

Cheers,
Andy
