Re: [xwiki-users] Some question about ACL

2014-03-14 Thread Thomas Mortagne
There is not really a special group containing LDAP users.

You have two possibilities:
* if you don't plan to create user that don't come from LDAP you can
simply add a group in xwiki.users.initialGroups property in xwiki.cfg
file. Each time a new XWiki user is created it will be added to this
group. This is the best for performances.
* user LDAP group membership, see
xwiki.authentication.ldap.group_mapping property in xwiki.cfg file

K Thanks you.

I think I can use xwiki.users.initialGroups property for my ldap user because
the first time my ldap user log on my new xwiki, a new user associate is
created.

Anyway, actually I'm testing ACL with some different user case like: someone
are in 2 differents groups and must access at space protected by differents
access rights with this 2 groups...
Have you a advanced documentation about this?

Re: [xwiki-users] Some question about ACL

2014-03-14 Thread Thomas Mortagne
yes, it depends mailing how much users yours groups contains since
they are resolved and cached on XWiki side so that can be a bit long
for very big groups the first time. It's not first log on of each
users, the cache is kept for all users it's just the first time an
authentication is done (and then when the cache is outdated, see
xwiki.authentication.ldap.groupcache_expiration).

Hi Craig,

Could you explain what you mean by left the guest rights for login unchecked”?
There’s no login right in the UI AFAIK… And login is implemented in a template
(login.vm) and thus you shouldn’t be able to protect it normally.

What happens when you go to
http://localhost:8080/xwiki/bin/login/XWiki/XWikiLogin ?

Thanks
