Re: [xwiki-users] XWIKI very slow after upgrade

2014-09-10 Thread Thomas Mortagne
Yes we slept a bit lately in term of performances. This is why we
started concentrate on it and hope to restore good ones as soon as
possible, since it's an accumulation of small things I can't really
give you a single Jira issue to follow but we are working on it. I
usually label performance related issue with performance label, see
http://jira.xwiki.org/issues/?jql=labels%20%3D%20performance.

In the meantime did you looked at
http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/Performances
already ? There is some customizations to improve performances compare
to default setup there.

Started with 5.0.3. The upgrade to 5.1 went splendid, performance was fine.

But to upgrade to any version 5.2, 5.2.2, 5.3, 5.4.5, 6.1 is very slow
three times slower to render the home page. Subsiquent visits to the page
 are equally slow.

I thought it might be a problem with the upgrade, but I did a clean install
of 6.1 and it is still three times slower than my 5.1 install.

MS SQL Server Reporting Services - it is a web-based BI-system. You can find
more information on Microsoft sites:

Almost all our reports have parameters. It would be great, if the xwiki user

the result report. If it is impossible to make this, it would be interesting
for us to show some static result report with predefined parameters.

2014-09-10 Thread Leonardo Kodato
Hi Pascal.

I've got the same problem with FAQ application. The search
returns inexplicably only some results(or nothing at all).
E.g. If I try to search for test, it finds the following articles:
Test 1
Test 7
Test 8
...
Some pages simply don't appear(test 2,3,4,5,...). I cant figure out why.

Workarround(maybe it can be usefull to you):
 - Edit the page where is the html form and set to:
form method=GET action=$xwiki.getURL('Main.Search')?r=1

 - Insert a hidden field with the value as your FAQ Space name(in my case
its the default [FAQ]):
input type=hidden name=f_space_exact value=FAQ /

 - Done. It will use the default search from XWiki, but will return only
itens from FAQ Space.

Another interesting I've added is the Auto suggest feature, which is
something great for FAQ applications.

It seem than there are some problems when your wiki is in multilingual mode
(in global preference/localisation).
For your problem, you can check the langage of Test2,3,4. It must be a
different langage of Test1,7,8

Your workaround is smart (I didn't think about
 it).
Anyway I resolve my problem.

Autosuggest seem interessant, I will certainly try it later.

Re: [xwiki-users] [myxwiki] new wiki request

2014-09-10 Thread Hush ed
Hi all,

Thanks for the feedback. I tried contacting xwiki cloud services because,
while their offer page says they allow for free use up to 5 users, I could
find no links that actually allowed for the creation of such a wiki except
under a paid plan. They have not contacted me back.

Etherpad may work, but the site specifies that it is intended for Mozilla
related work.

I could indeed download and try to install xwiki (though I'm on a mac), but
I was hoping my roommates could access it from their phones.

Am I in the wrong place? The wording of the mywiki page suggested that it
was free for individual and non-profit use. Perhaps I misunderstood.
