[xwiki-users] Problem with login in version 2.4
Hi All, I am upgrading from a XWiki Enterprise 2.1.1.25889 to a XWiki Enterprise 2.4.30451. I am having this problem when login, and I don't know how to solve. I just log, and then I get back to the screen, but the log-in link is still on the right corner, and it seems I am not logged in. I hadn't modify it, and deleting the cookies do not solve the problem. I tried with diferent brownsers and computes with no results. I ran the previous versión on weblogic and oracle with no problema. I also get this error when loading the wiki, but i think it has nothig to do with. With the encrypted cookies, I cannot see the content of the cookie in order to check for errors in the cookie. Is there any configuration way to solve it? I need it because I am using the xwiki for tracking bugs and errors for a external development. I goes quite good. And to get a unique identifier for every bug created. How can I get some code executed in one of the properties of the class, so the property get's the value you mentioned? Well,
You can't execute code directly in a class property, you have to manage this
code at object creation time.
I see another possibility, if your matter is only that the Id should be
unique, you can directly use the Id of the object as Id of your bug. In a
HQL request it would be merely a select obj.id from BaseObject obj where
... to retrieve the ids of the bugs, and you would not have to manage this
id at all.
If you really need the bugs ids to be consecutive, and you have a property
bugid in your class, you can use something like the following to retrieve
last id before creating a new bug :
{{velocity}}
#set($sql=select max(ints.value) from IntegerProperty ints where ints.name
='bugid')
#set($max=$xwiki.search($sql)[0])
{{/velocity}}
Then increment and use it to set value for 'bugid' in object to create.
You could also imagine adding all bug objects to the same xwiki documents,
and Ids will directly be the number of the object. But this might not be
very efficient if you have a large number of bugs in the system.
Of course I admit you programmatically create the new bugs in a page using
$doc.newObject(...). And it could be a good idea to check the range of
possible ids and check the max is not reached ;)

Hello again, In my case, the Systems department allows us only to publish Java applications, not install server apps, and give us no admin access to the production machines, that means that it is not posible to use the OOffice where the xwiki is installed. I have it running in another machine, but in the externally managed server configuration I haven´t seen where to put the IP of the server. Any help? [xwiki-users] Java heap space problem when export
Hello everybody, I have a xwiki_db.script of about 1 giga and I want to export the XWIKI to another system. It doesn't mind how much memory I give to the java process, I get the error. Is there any other way of doing the import/export, that will not get the hava heap exception? Origing: xwiki self contained installer with the jetty installer Destiny: Oracle Database and Weblogic I wonder if I could do it just copying all the webdav folders or not? You are right, I cannot open it (using 7zip). But I rememeber I was able to import earlier backups in other xwiki 1.7. ¿Is there any way to send all that I have in xwiki1.7 into 1.8? or to see what is corrupting the compressed file. Or to make a selective export of spaces? * orphaned means no parent.
* backlinks means that some page points to you
If you want no parent + no backlinks then you'd need to modify the
query in your orphaned pages panel.

Hello Everybody, In order to set the XWiki up for all users in my organization, I need some information about the database structure, for sending it to the database administrators. I've searched a little but I hadn't found any answer to the following questions: - A little description of the relational model, and the main tables? - A suggestion about how to partitionate the big tables? - If there is any possibility to set up in oracle without Hibernate, just create the tables? [xwiki-users] Is there any kind of structured data input plugin
Hello everybody, Just another question, Is there any way to use structured data input and view in XWiki? I've seen some pages that have it, but I don't know an easy way to implement it. I has to be something simple, like in excel or a shared excel where you can copy paste from the office suite. I think that normal tables could handle it, but when I copy paste from excel the table is no more editable. Another option is a table where you can edit rows somehow. I don't know all the possibilities of xwiki, so, any suggestion? [xwiki-users] Things left to be translated into spanish
Hello everybody, Changing the language to Spanish translates almost everything, and I say everything because three important things for us weren't translated: -The WYIWYG editor: I am considering to do it directly into the code -Some panel headers: just editing the panel allows me to translate -the tabs with Comments/attachments/history/information footer: which I have no idea how to translate. My question is specially about the third point, how can I change it?, the content is properly translated, but the TAB name is still in English. You'll have all tabs links available, but no content under them as long as you don't click one of the tab. To do this, you have to edit the file docextra.vm under the templates/ directory in you webapp and comment or remove the following line at the end of the file : Event.observe(window, load, extraInit, false); You can also use the content from XE 1.6 into your vm file (not sure which one should be changed). Last you can disable any of the tabs if you don't want to see them. You can also make them appear on some conditions that you specify. If other users want the old style we could probably offer different variations.
