Still I am not aware of any watchlist filtering of hidden pages. Hidden
pages can be viewed if you change in your Profile the "Display Hidden
Pages" preference.

Forum app doesn't have something special implemented in order to send
mails.
The Watchlist feature should work, just make sure your mail server settings
are correct.
Regarding the apparence in the activity stream, this is related ti the fact
the forum entities are hidden, but this won't affect
Subscribing to the space didn't work.
The forum application seems to store topics and answers in a hidden document
(TopicXX and TopicAnswerXX), and this document doesn't appear in the
activity stream and (i suppose) are not notified through the watchlist
plugin ?

It probably means that the change was a new document, you should
subscribe to the space itself (instead of each document in the space)
maybe. Basically you need to find out where the change you want to be
notified is going to happen.

I don't know this application well enough to tell you if there is a
specific option in its UI but whatever application you can always
subscribe to receive notifications by mail on any page, space or even
the whole wiki.

I use xwiki 6.4 with the forum application. I would like to subscribe to a
forum and receive a notification by mail when a new subject or a comment is
posted. Is it possible with the current version ? I didn't find a way to do
it.
