Creating a wiki from a template means copy all the template's document when creating the new wiki, that's pretty much all. Thanks for the description,but to create a template based on my wiki, it does not copy... Thinking about the possibility of a bug in version 6.1 (no offense) I decided to do install. 5.4. the operation worked perfectly. really the concept of template applies here. Thank you. 6.1 does not exist, milestones are beta versions usually not fully stable so it's possible you had a bug yes. Last stable version is 6.0.1.
