the check mark on
the public schema, everything added to it would also be checked. After
expanding the public schema in the Table Filter I saw that this doesn't
happen. So making sure it is checked worked, duh! Thanks!

that this is often not the case. Some tables
seem to retain those settings throughout sessions, but others seem to
lose all customizations for viewing. I use Base for interacting with a
PostgreSQL database, via the sdbc driver.
