You are not the first to wish for it, nor I doubt, the last. I'm not even sure now whether a bug report / feature request has been filed for this in bugzilla. Thanks, that would explain why I could find no corresponding code in AWT, in comparison to other elements of the toolkit. I've asked on the dev list anyway, I would be interested whether this could be a do-able easy hack. If the OS is called, then I guess everything currently goes through VCL, which complicates matters somewhat.
