Bottom posting (with appropriate snipping/intersperse etc) would be my

Aka 'in-line' posting...

Hi :)

Yes, i agree but that is not the way most office workers are using emails.
With
my fairly standard web-based email-client it would be a nightmare. If the list
allowed html posts then i could do inline, interspersed comments but then that
would open up huge other problems so it is not really feasible. Another thing
to thank those wonderful MicroSoft people for.

Regards from
Tom :)

I was about to agree, but I just saw a little twitch in one of the hind
legs... hopefully my last whack will take care of it...

Not quite as simple as I originally thought. I already had it set to
 reply in plain text.

 Click on 'Reply'
 Click on 'Plain Text'
 Click on 'OK'

Click on 'Reply - This time it will open in Plain text mode with proper
 attributions for quoted text.

Ok, just figured it out...

Proper quote attribution only happens when you are using the 'Classic'
version. The 'All-new' version doesn't work that way...

But, as someone else pointed out, the thing is dead... ;)
