Beste mensen, Ik zou dus met Synaptics gaan kijken wat er van LibreOffice voor Ubuntu18 aanwezig is en wellicht geïnstalleerd. Daar is voor een normaal denkend mens niet uit te komen: 1) afwijkende benamingen "libr" en "libo" 2) onduidelijke versienummers met ":" er in Mij allemaal te ingewikkeld. Ik wacht op LibreOffice voor Ubuntu dat in één pakket, bijvoorbeeld libreoffice-6332-nl.deb, zonder gepuzzel op Ubuntu kan worden ingezet. Nee Pieter, na de uitvoering van de drie script bestanden, is de taal van menu's nog steeds Engels alsmede de Offline Help... Wat wel interessant is, is dat een spreadsheet waar wat testjes inzitten, toch een Nederlands menu hanteert en met LO 6.3.3 werkt. Staan er dan twee versies van LO op de laptop!? Verder kwam toen een systeem-bericht dat er een nieuwe versie van LO gedownload kon worden. Nieuwer dan 6.3?? Ii zal met Synaptic op onderzoek uitgaan. Ik werk nu op de desktop -waar alles normaal is- omdat de witte tornado in huis is en ik beneden nu niet rustig kan werken. Ik moet met LO 6.3.3 werken om dat die versie goed met Base werkt. LO 6.2 kon bepaalde truukjes met Base niet uitvoeren. Problemen met FireBird meen ik begrepen te hebben. Wat betreft de Fujitsu laptop: ik zal Ubuntu 18 weer opnieuw installeren -voor de derde keer- en dan zal alles wel weer een tijdje goed werken.
