I wanted to simple write a letter. Instead I spent more than 1/2 hour
trying to get rid of a theme that makes seeing the toolbar very difficult.
How do I get rid of it?
I resent being forced into an opt-out "feature" with no opt out anywhere
in sight.

Where did that theme come from? It's definitive not part of OpenOffice.
