Basic IDE crashes after deleting line(s)

2015-10-31 Thread Leon Zar
Just installed OO 4.1.2. I opened a blank Calc document and went to Tools -> Macros -> Organize Macros -> OpenOffice Basic. From the OpenOffice Basic Macros dialog I selected "Edit" on the "Main" macro in Module1. I can add new lines to the macro, but the IDE crashes if I try to delete a line

Windows to Mac migration

2015-10-14 Thread Leon Zar
I am planning to move my OO platform from Windows to a Mac. Currently I have many Calc spreadsheets with macros. Are there any migration issues I need to be aware of? Any incompatibilities or functional differences? I assume there are none, but want to double-check with the OO community.

Hi Don, You might try downloading LibreOffice (www.libreoffice.org) and see if the same problem occurs. It's free. I use LO as my primary spreadsheet/word processor, but occasionally use OOWriter and don't have the problem you describe. I'm also running IOs 10.13.2, but using OO version 4.1.5.

John, I think you are referring to iOS 12.0 running on an iPhone or iPad, and not the macOS version running on an iMac or Macbook. Which Open Office application are you using? Regards, Leon On Tue, Sep 25, 2018 at 12:42 PM john Schwartz wrote: > Does Apache Open Office application support

I believe it is even more important to configure the OO Preferences for "Save AutoRecovery Information". In all the years I've used OO, I've never had a crash where OO was unable to recover up to, or very close to, the point of failure. Since I do have a UPS, the crashes I have experienced are

Hi David, I use both Open Office (OO) and Libre Office (LO) on my Mac. I have a preference for LO because I write a lot of VB macros and LO has a slightly nicer development environment for them (or at least it used to). Also, LO has the ability to edit .pdf files, although it's a bit clunky.

If you have any kind of clipboard manager, try disabling it to see if that helps. If so, then you'll need to configure it (if possible) to ignore copies from OO. I had this problem on a Mac and fixed it by doing the same thing. Regards, Leon On Mon, Sep 18, 2023 at 10:20 AM Robert Burt

Hello Conner, By any chance are you using any kind of clipboard manager software? There may be a conflict between it and OO. If you are using one, try disabling it to see if the problem persists. Regards, Leon On Sun, Dec 25, 2022 at 12:50 PM Conner Cardwell wrote: > Hello and Merry
