You need in the VMs to have the 'vmx' flag, if you are using libvirt
you most likely should use 'host-passthrough' mode, otherwise nested
virtualization might not work. Regardless of the emulated CPU type,
you need to ensure 'vmx' flag is there, this can also be done
explicitly in the libvirt XML.
You need the VDSM hook (on the hypervisor) that sets up vmx feature

In some cases, I can shutdown some of them and wait.

For some reason today my guests have decided to go into a not responding
state according to the WebUI. I am running a hosted engine environment
with one physical host. I can power them down, then run them and they
show good for a few seconds, then go to not responding - the question
marks.
