First I rebooted the hosted I tried to deploy to. The node status is now "OK"
again. I will try to deploy on that node again.

Deployment looked good, but the race condition (which I faced 5 times out of
seven deployments) is back again.

I really feel like an idiot. I tried to move our hosted engine from our Default
datacenter to our Ceph Datacenter.
I ran intro problems which were correctly addressed.

Hello,
do you want to have both sites up and running? If not, try looking at

The second deployment still triggers "The target Data Center does not contain
the Virtual Disk".
Trying again. This time deleting the old data in the gluster volume. Changing
number of engine CPUs from 4 to 2. Hope this gives the race condition some
different gravity.
Hi There
Hope you are well. We have two clusters with two ovirt-engines. On the one
cluster's ovirt -engine the vm_dynamic tables is almost 3.5 GB big, is that
normal ? We are on the latest engine software.

So for all lease-holding vms, push the lease to a different storage domain (on
different storage hardware), apply the upgrade and then push the leases back?
And that can be done whilst the VMs are running? Leases must be frequently
renewed, so I guess no particular reason why not.
Does that
Hi,
We have a dev cluster running 4.2. It had to be powered down as the building
was going to loose power. Since we've brought it back up it has been massively
un-stable (Hosts constantly switching state, VMs migrating all the time).
I now have one host running (with HE) and all others in

Rafi, can you take a look?

I wonder if it's something that has changed in server 2016 / server 2019? I
haven't loaded server 2012 in over a year.

Was your hyper converged and is this storage gluster based?
Your error is DNS related, if a bit odd. Have you checked the resolv.conf
configs and confirmed the servers listed there are reachable and responsive?
When your hosts are active, are they able to mount all the storage domains they
Still no success. The ansible script errors out again at "The target Data
Center does not contain the Virtual Disk". trying a fourth time.

Hello oVirt community,
Seems lik a bug. I don't have more than one environment to test on so I
can't be 100% sure and didn't want to file a report (but didn't know where
else to report this).
I have a fresh install self hosted ovirt cluster 4.3.1.1-1.el7. When I

I tried also with Windows 10 (not Server I admit) and EST timezone
worked for me.

Meanwhile I was able to remove the old wrecked engine with the
LocalHostedEngine on Port 6900. It was stable enough to re-install that node
with engine undeployment selected. So I'm now able to bring back the engine to
the old Default Datacenter and NFS.
Hi -
We want to migrate our aging oVirt cluster to a new one and decided to go
for the hyperconverged setup with Gluster and hosted engine. Got 3 new
machines, set everything up, did a test VM migration and were almost ready
to do final migration of our VMs when I notice one really weird thing.

Thank you, Gianluca! I was searching list archives but couldn't find
anything recent. All threads were from years ago. Glad am not the only one.
Yes, the problem is only from GUI and gluster only.
Thanks again.
