Hi All,
Using OLVM and having an issue connecting to a noVNC console on a secondary
host.
Im getting the Failed to connect.
We are using the standalone host as the deployment of the self hosted kept
failing, something about the machine not being able to run virtualised machines
even though it
Ok, i have resolved this issue
On cluster, i had to disable Encrypted VNC and reinstall the host to apply the
changes.
This would probably not happen if it was a shared cluster. Right now its 2
local clusters

Hi All,

I believe the support is the same as red hat and paid is available but oel and
the ovirt (olvm) is free as has been mentioned.
It’s currently on ovirt 4.3.6 and there is a bug or 2 with that as mentioned in
the comments on the press release
This is what we are planning to do. We made a decision a while ago to start
using oracle Linux as we are already an oracle db house.
We have centos machines and are slowly ditching Ubuntu and Debian.
Moving to OEL is the logical choice.

Also we have begun using OLVM based on tests we conducted with ovirt a while
ago.
Only issue is olvm is currently stuck on 4.3.6 and waiting for oracle to
release updates is a slow process.
Personally I would have liked to use ovirt but apparently using oracle is
better for the Databases.

Yes.
We use OEL and have setup oracles branded ovirt as well as test ovirt on oracle
and it works a treat.

Quite literally just done this.
Put a host in maintenance
Remove the host from the cluster/ovirt engine.
Edit the network interface from terminal
Edit both files in /var/lib/vdsm/persistence/nets/ovirtmgmt
And
/var/lib/vdsm/staging/nets/ovirtmgmt
Edit the hosts file in /etc/hosts with new IP
This is to do with the cert.
it happened here
Turn off Vnc encryption in the compute> cluster > console settings.
Might need to maintenance and reinstall the host that you cannot access.

If it helps, I had to create a network called ovirtmgmt.
This was my network setup
Configure 2 nics to be in a bond.
Configure a bond with the bridge being ovirtmgmt
Configure a bridge called ovirtmgmt with a static up.
Make sure ovirtmgmt is DEFROUTE=Yes
