pools, currently one per data center.

I'll check whether those mac addresses, which were custom ones and after ranges
alteration lies in the ranges of mac pool, those get marked as used in that
pool. It should be true, but I rather write test for it.

sure what "deploy the VM with Template" is, but I suspect you've imported VM
from template. When that happens, for each interface without MAC address is new
obtained, or for each of them, when "importing as new".
