Subject: [Engine-devel] oVirt 3.4.0 beta
Hi,
I tested read only disks feature [1] and it worked fine. I used this
configuration:
1) RHEL 6 VM rhel1 with shared disk mounted as RW,
2) RHEL 6 VM rhel2 with shared disk mounted as RO
3) Windows 7 VM win71 with shared disk mounted as RO
rhel2 and win71 VMs sees all files on shared
- works fine, you can select VNC keymap in Run Once in similar way to Edit VM
dialog
BZ1042782 Fix Control-Alt-Delete functionality in console options
- Pass c-a-d is no longer visible in Edit VM options, but pass c-a-d to VM
using virt-viewer works fine

Hi,
please be aware that in oVirt 3.4 beta3 engine-manage-domains command line
arguments
changed from Java type (-someOption) to standard long type (--some-option).
Consult
man page or run engine-manage-domains --help to find out differences.

to show data, so it looks OK
2) Fedora 19
- installation and setup worked fine (set everything at default)
- after creating dc and cluster and adding host to engine, reports were
able
to show data, so it looks OK
Martin Perina
- for engine-config tool
4) /usr/share/ovirt-engine/services/ovirt-engine/ovirt-engine.xml.in
- for ovirt-engine service (webadmin userportal)
1), 2) and 3) are standard log4j config files.
4) is JBoss deployment configuration which includes logging section.

Hi,
this configuration file can be used only for special parameters, which
are not part of command line options. So you cannot add for example
domain or provider.
Also if you are still using engine-manage-domains (in oVirt 3.5+ it's
considered to be a legacy provider), you may consider to move
or not.

yes Centos 7.1 is fully supported OS in oVirt 3.6. I don't have any production

that prevents you from using Centos 7.1 on engine and hosts.

Hi,
when oVirt 3.6 is installed it's hidden behind Apache, so client
connects using HTTP(S) to Apache which uses AJP to forward this
request to WildFly where oVirt engine is executed. This is done
automatically during engine-setup no need for any manual config.

Regarding login: I haven't found any issue logging, I see many successful
logins of admin@internal in the log. So are you able to login into webadmin
or not?
Thanks
