You can't migrate the engine to a normal host added via add host. To join the hosted-engine pool, you need to run hosted-engine --deploy and point to the same storage used by the engine. It will then be recognised as adding additional host capable of hosting the engine. Having more entropy on the host could also help, but yes, we also have to add a virtio-rng device to the engine

In this step engine-setup is requiring a lot of entropy for cryptographic
actions so a similar delay could be due to the lack of entropy on your
system.
Can you please check the entropy on your host?
cat /proc/sys/kernel/random/entropy_avail
is it a nested env?
