hello,   https://sogo.nu/ kind of suggests that mapi is now outlook-2016 ready.   i downloaded and installed http://sourceforge.net/projects/sogo-zeg/files/ZEG-3.1.4.ova/download. it seems to be partly working with outlook-2013 but i was unable to access sogo using outlook-2016 via mapi.
