svn:ignore was a 1.0 feature so definitely will work with 1.7.14

It is svn:global-ignores that is new in 1.8. svn:ignore exists also in
earlier versions, see

thanks for very quick answer.

I confirm this works on  1.10.2 (r1835932).

Is there a way how to achieve the same result on 1.7.14 (r1542130) ? The 
documentation you posted writes about having this feature available since 
version 1.8

Just set and commit the svn:ignore property on the ~/config folder
with a value of "backup".
