Hey,
What is the difference between:
setResponsePage(CoolPage.class)
and
setResponsePage(new CoolPage())
?
When to use each one?
Thanks.

Hey,
I use inheritance to do layout.
The base page containing main section that should contains child's markup,
and cart section.
Child pages are supposed to perform operations that will update the cart
section (lets say via Ajax).
My question is how to ask the cart section to updates its state
Hey,
Why Wicket package doesn't include the API and Wiki pages (like Struts2 for
example)?
Any ideas how to get them for late night offline reading?
Thanks.

I like your idea, there are many wicket related projects in sourceforge

Hi,
In the authentication mechanism, there is apossibility to define a Sign In

Is it possible that the sign in page will have the original query string of

Does anyone know if the development of wicketforge going to continue so it
supports the new release of Intellij 8? We haven't heard anything from Nick

I know there are several of us that would love to see it updated to support

My question is how to ask the cart section to updates its
state (and redraw it) from a child page?
Just add the superclass element to the AjaxRequetTarget parameter. This
means either holding a reference to it (e.g. a protected instance field)
or better, use get(path:to:cart) to get at it.

Hi Don,
I've been working on migrating it to IDEA 8 but I haven't had much time
lately. My schedule will open up at the end of this week and I'm hoping to
finish porting the code shortly. Apologies for the delay.

No problem on the delay we were just worried that the code was not being
supported over on Google code anymore.
I will go and post there since there is a thread of several folks wondering.
It will definitely be a nice present for the end of the year!
Thank you for all your efforts!

Hi!
I often find myself spending a tremendeous amount of time
mind-boggling with Component:paths for my WicketTester tests.
I assume that it would be pretty easy to code a 'WicketTest recorder'.
The solution would probably be some kind of filter properly attached
into the wicket framework at
I think it would be useful if the message resolution inside a
wicket:enclosure used the child (or implicit child) as the component that

This is the scenario

What version of Wicket are you running? There was a JIRA request to
spit out the component paths in development mode:

Apparently it was fixed in 1.3.5 and 1.4-rc1.
