From the XWiki source code, I see there is a difference in passing a document to the evenmanager: The DocumentDeletingEvent is passing a “new XWikiDocument(doc.getDocumentReference())" The DocumentUpdatedEvent (as an example) is passing the doc (the actual XWikiDocument) The difference is,
