Re: [xwiki-users] Numbered Sections - SOLVED

2013-02-09 Thread xrichard
I finaly sorted it out: if I set "Macro visibility" to "Current Wiki" the
macro is then recognized in pages!

By default the "Macro visibility" is set to "Global" and it seems that I'm
not allowed / I have not rights to set / use this level.

Thanks for this nice Extension.

Re: [xwiki-users] Numbered Sections

2013-02-09 Thread xrichard
Thanks Vincent.

I was not able to install anything thru Extension Manager on the cloud XWiki
plateform but this feature is available on myxwiki.org ;-).

Installation done with EM (so easy!) , added {{numberedheadings/}} on the top
page but returns error message:

Unknown macro: numberedheadings

FTR I've just installed the extension with the EM and it works perfectly well :)

(I tried it on Sandbox.WebHome)

Note: you need to add {{numberedheadings/}} at the top of the page

BTW why didn't you use the Extension Manager to install it?

What version of XWiki are you using?

Hello,

I'm also interrested by automatic numbered of headings because I find the
default heading styles to close from one to an other.

I have installed the extension
http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Numbered+Headings but
the macro is not recognized in pages: what am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your answers,

PS : I'm a newbie to XAR import and macro so maybe the first step is to help
me check the XAR/macro installation has been performed correctly.

but it's only css.

 A great feature, but I am a bit at loss how to implement this in XWiki
 2.0 syntax.
 {{velocity}}
 #set ($context.tocNumbered = true)
 #set ($context.tocData = $tdoc.getTOC(2, 6, true))
 {{/velocity}}
 ==example header==

 didn't do the trick.

 Any hints?

Thanks Thomas, that sounds like an idea I could actually work out!
Will put it on my todo list, and check with a HTML guru about caveats
when using CSS numbering (I vaguely remember there were some
difficulties, besides old browser compatibility).

What you could do actually is put some css in a SteelSheetExtension
(see http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/DevGuide/SkinExtensionsTutorial)
with something like
http://daarchitect.wordpress.com/2008/04/09/numbered-headings-in-css/
(there is lots of other examples in google) in it.

Then when you want a document to have numbered headings you call in
velocity $xwiki.ssx.use("Space.NumberedStylesheetExtensionDocument")
anywhere in that document (or you write a wiki macro which call that
to make easier to do this when you are in the WYSIWYG for example).
You can also apply this for the whole wiki using "Always" as "Use this
extension" field value.

And finally you can contribute a nice XAR on extensions.xwiki.org ;)

This is not implemented yet for XWiki Syntax 2.0.

The code you pasted above is for XWiki Syntax 1.0.
