The Portal division, of which GeorgiaGov Interactive is a part, is a services division that provides application development, data systems, and web platform services to state entities. About GeorgiaGov Interactive:The GeorgiaGov Interactive team manages and supports a custom Drupal web platform used by over 60 state agencies. The team provides migration services for new agencies, support and training to existing agencies, as well as continual enhancements to the Drupal platform. GeorgiaGov interactive also manages the Georgia.Gov portal, and social media properties for georgia.gov. The GeorgiaGov team is committed to providing innovative web services to its constituents. A redesign of Georgia.gov launched in 2012 was the first state portal site to use an adaptive layout. Currently, the team is rolling out responsive website layouts to its other 65+ agency websites. You will look at analytics statistics, conduct small usability studies, and follow web and mobile trends to determine and design areas for improvement on the platform. You may serve as the primary point of contact for a portion of the agency customers to assist in their business needs, and work with them to find solutions to any new website needs.The best candidate for the UI/UX Web Strategist is someone with a passion for best practices in usability and accessibility for the web across all devices. You should be regularly reading about the industry and thinking of how we as a state can lead by example within the realm of website solutions. The individual selected for this position will be a key liaison and valuable partner among members of this team. The position will be involved in supporting a wide variety of projects, collecting and organizing information and data, scheduling and organizing meeting and creating presentations and reports.
