*Job Title:** ** **J2EE Systems Administrator*** *Location:** NYC, NY*
*Duration:** 6 Months*** *Responsibilities:* - 6+ years of hands on JEE application servers (JBOSS) administration experience. - Install and configure JBoss application servers (Other app server knowledge a nice to have) - Installation of ear/war/jar files. - Develop scripts to manage the environment and to automate repeatable tasks. - Integrate the application servers with monitoring tools. - Patch management. - Assist in tuning JEE applications for optimal performance and general JVM tuning. - Assist in troubleshooting application networking issues - Assist in capacity planning and hardware sizing. * * *Skills:* - Understanding of JEE Server configuration using vendor specific command line clients, JMX, and Web consoles (JBoss required, others a plus) - Understanding of JVM configuration - Understanding of Java packaging (jar/war/ear/sar etc) and deployment descriptors - Understanding of JEE services and components deployment such as JDBC, JMS, Security (SSL, JAAS, Authentication, Authorization, SSO etc), Mail, EJBs, etc. - Experience with Clustering setup and troubleshooting - Experience with VIP, Load Balancing issue resolution. - Experience with Linux/Unix Scripting/Automation. Bash/ksh required.
