*Client: Urban Science* *Rate: $55hr* *6+ months* *Detroit, Michigan* *Job Description: * Lead programming and implementation of new functionality for software applications. *Responsibilities:* - Lead programming and implementation of new functionality for software applications. - Provide technical leadership for project designs and specifications, coding, code reviews, configuration, and release management. - Work with technical leaders and business analysts to identify client needs and ensure congruence with company technical development capabilities. - Draft required technical documentation to support programming and design activities, including release notes, code comments, use cases, and training materials. - Develop and perform technical training on new applications and application updates. - Plan, organize, develop and deliver projects and requests within prescribed time schedules. - Guide and train project teams, including setting objectives, assigning and prioritizing work, and managing multiple concurrent project-related tasks. *Requirements:* - Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or Electrical/Electronics Engineering. - 8 years of experience in a software development, application or systems programming, or related position (will also accept Master Degree and 3 years of applicable work experience). - 2+ years as a Team Lead/Lead Programmer - Business software workflow development with .NET (2.0 or higher) - Development using ASP.NET, C#, and ADO.NET - N-tier software architecture - SQL Server (2005 or higher) database design and implementation, including Transact SQL and stored procedures - Identification and application of design patterns; - Waterfall or Agile development methodologies; - Experience with full life cycle software testing, including automated unit testing; - Experience with full software development life cycle, including Visual Studio (2005 or higher).
