Title: *Senior Java Developer with trading/Fixed Income* Location: *New York, NY* Duration: 6 month *Rate : $700-800/ per day c2c.* Must have experience with Fixed Income in current project The Senior Java Developer will play a key role in integrating, extracting, and data to deliver MiFID / MiFID II Best Execution regulatory mandate. The role will work closely with the Business Analyst focused on Best Execution. Close proximity to the target users, FO clients, and ION integration team is needed to rapidly deliver the architecture and implementation. *Responsibilities*: - Requirements gathering, design, development, unit testing, back testing, implementation of Java code for electronic trading/Fixed Income systems - Preparing detailed specifications to describe the technical and business-related problem integration - Investigate and diagnose system issues and provide solutions - Transformation of data from different formats into the target formats - Integration with KDB real-time database technology - Development Integration with Spring framework and design patterns - Multithreaded development - Developing and integrating with etrading-related vendor software such as the ION platform, MQ, TIBRV messaging, Bloomberg trading API - Update computer programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements; - Investigate systems faults, diagnose problems and propose and provide solutions; - Specify the data, files and logical operations the system will perform as well as the way data will be viewed by the user; - Update computer programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements; - Correct errors by making appropriate changes and then recheck to ensure that the desired results are produced; - Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users; - Develop good level understanding of appropriate business systems and business area. *Required* *Skills*: - Understanding and use of Fixed Income products with focus on Rates/Credit bonds, derivatives, futures.
