*Job Title: Network/Infrastructure Engineer (Exp with SAN, WAN, LAN, VmWare, Windows)* Location: Augusta, ME Or Philadelphia, PA Duration: 1 year with optional yearly extensions *DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* • Installation, configuration, management and troubleshooting of storage systems • Extensive knowledge of SAN/NAS architecture • In-depth knowledge of storage concepts and architecture, specifically within the EMC hardware product line • A strong understanding of data storage components and protocols along with solid knowledge of Fiber Channel architecture • VMware solution design and implementation experience at an enterprise level • Experience in implementing and managing VMware vSphere, Configuration Manager, Orchestrator, Ops Manager, and Automation Center • Proficiency in VMware Automation Center • Extensive knowledge of Windows Server 2008R2 and 2012R2 operating systems on Dell hardware, to include troubleshooting, networking components, and connectivity to various enterprise hardware • Experience with enterprise backup solutions, to include tape drives • Document and implement best practices for Windows Server and VMWare patch management, upgrades, and security. • Develop methods for monitoring capacity utilization and planning for required changes • Continuously implement recommendations to increase stability, reliability, and availability while reducing overall costs. • Coordinate with operations team to ensure all network devices, including servers and operating systems, are properly monitored. • Work with Solution Center to implement solutions from audit findings (PCI/SOX) and security best practices. *REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:* • BS in Computer Science or related field • A minimum of 6 years in the industry, including at least 2 years supporting production data centers that use VMware and EMC SAN technologies • A minimum of 2 years with non-Cisco equipment, for example: Dell • Storage: SAN and NFS • Extensive Windows Server Operating System experience • Experience with EMC VNX a plus • Experience with EMC VPLEX a plus -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "USITCV" group.
